Dianna yes the baby was fine. My son stopped Shadow from hurting it but he wanted the girls to be sure.
Many years ago we had Ben. Someone stopped my son and DIL and asked them to take Ben. He was 6 months old and going to be put down. He was a greyhound...but could not run the track. His lungs were not right. There was a family here who raised. Them.
Once Ben caught a bunny. Then he placed it on the ground and stretched out beside it to try to catch his breath. One evening he caught a fawn. Same thing. He brought it to the barn and stretched out beside it. He. Never tried to kill them. I loved Ben...everyone in our family loved him. I never heard him bark. Although Julie heard him slip up behind a repairman one day and let out a big deep RUFRUF! I'm sure that guy about died..

Thank you. My son has always loved God's critters! He taught his kids to love them too.

I've gotten fabric from Darlene, Marilyn,Dianna, Jana, and Rebecca so far.
I've also sorted the previous squares by color, light to dark, for a quilt.

Ladies, Just wanted to let you know I mailed my fabric today. I've been moving my sewing room and misplaced my flower fabrics until day before yesterday. At least I made the mailing deadline....lol. Hope y'all have a great 4th of July!

I think one of my favorite things to get in my mail box is a "soft" envelope of pretty fabrics.

I'm noticing a lot of newer farmgirls in the 10" fabric squares swaps. That's great! These swaps are easy to follow through with and a great way to meet more farm girls with similar interests - sewing.

Joan, no sweat! We love our fabric no matter when it comes.
I just took mine out last night and arranged and cut for projects! Now my sewing room looks like a tornado flew through! Again! LoL!

Never can get enough fabric! Love to touch it, look at it and sometimes I hate to cut it! Yikes!
Cheap to mail too, 1 stamp! That doesn't happen often! Tea swap without tucks too, 1 stamp!

Farm theme coming up! Anything that says Farm to you! Can't wait!

Linda, sewing gets us hooked! So many things can be made from that 10" square!

The air temperatures are so hot in Minneapolis that I have trouble being at the ironing board. The weather has been hot and humid for over a week.

Marie, I'm sorry you are so hot. Do you have a fan? I know they don't usually insytall a/c in homes up north. Although my DIL has a sister who built a new house about 4 years ago and put in a/c like we have on Texas. She lives near Eau Clare, Wisconsin. My DIL complains a lot about how cold her sisters house is. I laugh at my DIL because every time the temps get into the 50s she dresses for winter...but wears shorts.

That's terrible Marie! I'm so sorry!! It has been terribly hot and humid here too but that's Alabama for you. Working outside everyday I just take a neck scarf and soak it in ice water. Helps so much while outside! Thankful for our ac. Hoping things will cool down soon for you!!

That's funny Marilyn. Shorts. We had a guy in Germany who would wear shorts ALL THE TIME!! Even when it snowed!! Crazy....we just called him shorts. He was 6'3!!

Thanks Jana, Sherry & Dianna for the beautiful flower fabrics. I love the blue bonnet fabric. They were one of my Mom's favorites. I can't wait to figure out what to do with all the fabric from these swaps. I am really enjoying them.
Sorry it is so hot in Minneapolis, Marie! It has been warm here in the mountains of NC, too, but not as hot as there.
Stay safe everyone! Enjoy your fabrics!

Hello and Good morning, I just read through most of your posts about the fabric swaps, especially the flower prints, what a wonderful way to stay in touch. I'd love to do this on the next swap. I saw that it is farm prints - Jackpot!! I seem to navigate to those prints as much as anything else, so that is perfect timing, if there is room for me to be included in August. I love the idea of swapping squares already cut and ready to sew, maybe I will get more done this way! LOL Keep up the great inspirations, this looks like a great group of Farmgirls to be part of - well, all the Farmgirls are, but this fabric swap speaks my language, if you know what I mean. Looking forward to this. Have a blessed day.
