Happy June everyone! I debated about the theme for our swap this month. It's been quite the year so far hasn't it?? It was Dawn's post today that helped me make my mind up. With July coming I think the theme will be 'AMERICANA'. I get to feeling so patriotic and inspired by individuals who ban together or go out of their way to help someone, a community in a positive unselfish way!
So, 3 1/2 X 2 1/2 cards using whatever art -crafting medium you'd like. One card- one partner, ok?
Sign ups until the 17th, partners assigned on the 18th and mailouts by the 25th please. Any questions shoot me an email! Have fun and as as always, can't wait to see the awesome creativity you farmsisters come up with!!
Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". Artist Trading Cards are the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). Alternately you may choose to use a round ATC Coin of 2.5" diameter. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. In 1997 he created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world!
You can make ATCs with many different media including paper, fabric, felt, metal, wood, clay, paint, stamps, embellishments and more. There are tons of ideas and inspiration available online if you google ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

I love, Love, LOVE America and the flag. That's why I have flags out year round. The wind tatters them but that just makes them vintage looking to my eyes.
I used to have a big flag. I put it up every morning and took it down each evening. But now I have 7 smaller flags across the lane and 7 more in syrup cans th that hang on the driveway fence. I have mmmore too. How can anyone look at that beautiful flag, fluttering in the breeze and not be happy.

Amen Marilyn!! We've got several flags scattered through our property! I love seeing then fly and wave in the breeze! Since we are close to post here we have a LOT of helicopters flying over on training missions so I want them to know how much we love and appreciate them! Just like the hubs! I'm forever telling him thank you and how proud I am of him! He fought in both the recent wars and has all kinds of medals for his bravery. Hes seen a lot. I cant even imagine, him, his friends, all the men and women of services, men and women in blue, firefighters, medical personnel....so many others who do jobs we dont even know what they go through but they've given up so much to unselfishly serve!!! Yes, I LOVE America and for the most part, everyone in it!!
