Has anyone read the Domestic Diva Mystery series? I came across the books because the Author has my name! She also has a Paws and Claws Mystery Series. They sound interesting and good, but I wanted to check and see if anyone here had read the series and had any input before I order the first books.

I have read several books from this series. On the whole they are pretty good although I did get tired of the Sophie (main character) competing with her childhood nemesis (Natasha) after several books. Still for this genre, they are fun to read without the bad language and graphic details. Try the first one and see if you like it, there's quite a few in the series. Enjoy reading!

Shirley, no worries! I’m happy to share with you!
Dawn, thank you for the input. I need to place an Amazon order, so I think I will order the first one and give it a try.

I just ordered the first Diva mystery on my Kindle . . . I see there are 13 in the series. That should keep me busy for a while . . . in between the Jean Grainger books. jean |

Krista, I've not heard of these books. Will have to check into them.
Shirley, I have all of Jennifer Chiaverini's quilting series books. I really enjoyed them.

Jean, I still haven’t ordered mine yet. It’s still on my to do list. Let me know what you think once you start.
Denise, if you read one before I do, let me know what you think!

Do these books build on one another or are they stand alone books? Just wondering where to start.

Denise, that I am not sure of. I personally was intending on starting with book one. So I wasn’t worried about that.

Krista, et al . . . . Just starting on book 4. The books are fun light reads. Mysterious mayhem, yummy food with recipes, dysfunctional families, quicky decorating and craft ideas, kooky pets, and a wee bit of romance . . . all piled onto Sophie, the protagonist's, lap. We need to invite her to join the Sisterhood -- she needs us. jean |

Thank you for the feedback Jean. I just recently got Kindle Unlimited but these books are not free on there. So I’m debating on purchasing an actual hard copy. Do you feel the books need to be read in order?

Hi Krista -- Well if you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, you must have a regular Kindle account. So there is no need to buy hard copies, you can get the books cheaper on Kindle. I checked to see if they were "loanable" but unfortunately this series is not. Having Kindle Unlimited, you might want to check out the Jean Grainger books there. They are delightful reads. I have read several, but I would recommend that you start with "The Tour" series. Re the Diva books, I suppose they could be read as standalones, but I think reading them in order would be better because even though each one presents an individual mystery, the family issues are ongoing. Happy reading.

Jean, thank you so much for the input. I am very new to digital reading, so I’m still trying to navigate myself around and figure things out. Also thank you for the series suggestion. I will look that one up and see what it’s about.
