Lucky you! We used to camp in our younger years! Have fun!

How exciting! I’m so ready to go camping. I’m making plans for us to go this year. My kids would love it so much!

Our camper has been calling. Could use a change of scenery. I wonder if there will be open campgrounds anytime soon.

Backyard, in the arena, camping is a fun activity. We used to go frequently when our son was young. There is a lake about 40 miles away. Then we discovered a state park. That was awesome.

We never had a camper. We always slept and cooked in tents. Big Bend Natl. Park, a long way from here but that was such an awesome exploring adventure when our son was about 15 years old.

Nothing is better than cooking scrambled bacon, scrambled eggs and toast on a campfire. Yum yum! That alone is enough to make you want to camp out.

We have done both tent and trailer camping. In our younger years, we were backpackers. Then, we started doing Mountain Man Rendezvous reenactments. There were teepees and canvas tents involved. That activity went on for many years and still does. I'm not as nimble as I once was, but I still love it. Now that our kids are grown up and have their own kids, they are doing the Rendezvous with us. We have graduated to the ""Tin Teepee" camper and leave the tents to the younguns.
Most of the rendezvous have been canceled this year. We will be doing some boondocking in the wilds away from people. Fish still bite in the rain and our pontton boat has a cover!
Glamp on, girls!!

Sherone,, luv it... Tin Teepee...
yep, all of the planned events I was to attend this year, most of the were Sisters on the Fly events.. and just a few 'camp-togethers with some of my local gal~pals,, ... all cancelled.. So other then our daughter and her family,, most of our camping will be just us at KM Camping Resorts, and we won't use any of the facilities.. Fingers crossed that our local State Parks will re-open,, with Social Distancing in effect. I am OK with that.
RTG,, for sure,, sill photos will be posted! snorks-n-giggles...

Winnie, I promise I will share pictures and stories. Wyoming is such a beautiful place. I love to share it with others. Here's a picture taken on Easter Sunday while we were taking a drive on our ranch. One ridge has lots of cedars, so we always go have a picnic there for Easter. It's kind of obvious that a storm is coming in.

I have been through a bit of Wyoming on a trip several years ago to Yellowstone Park. It is a gorgeous state with those wide open skies. This photo that you shared from your land is beautiful! I am imaging a lovely Easter picnic with this kind of vista! Thanks for sharing.

I cannot wait to camp again! We bought a new camper last November and haven't even taken it out yet. Maybe some backyard camping is in order.

I've camped all my life. Started as a tent camper when I was a toddler, moved up to a trailer when my grandparents bought a hard-sided pop-up. They then purchased a travel trailer then motorhome. When I got married we started from the bottom - tent, then all terrain pop-up and now we're in a travel trailer.
Wyoming looks incredible! As a teenager we camped overnight in Medicine Bow on our way to California. I remember being surrounded by mountains.

My parents started me out, camping at an early age. I found some old photos from one of our camping trips,, Tent style,, I was about 4 years old... Dad was an avid fisherman...
Later in 1962 my folks got a Volkswagen Bus,,, it was the camping model,, complete with Coleman butane stove.. Mom and sis slept in the Bus,, dad and I slept outside in sleeping bags on cots.. (We lived in Elisabeth town, Kentucky that year...)
Then by the late 1960's dad bought one of those fancy family tents with the room patrician.. and everyone slept on air mattresses..
Now,, fast forward,, I am a "give me a bit more comfort" kinda gal... no more coffee cans behind a tall bush.. I like my porta potty closet!
Ahh,,, camping memories,,, before we had arthritis... lol!

I've been camping quite a bit. For some reason, I forget to take pictures. Maybe I just get so relaxed that I forget.
We took Eco out on her maiden voyage a few weeks after we took her out of storage. We went a few miles from the house, up a dirt road and found a place to pull off the road. Hubbie wanted to try her out, but not be too far from town. We learned a lot during this trip. For example, do not leave your extra keys in the camper. Yes, I locked myself out. lol
We took Eco to Ashton, Idaho and stayed at the Yellowstone RV resort. This is such a pretty area. We went to Island Park for dinner and visited Big Springs. If you ever get to this area, please take a few days to look around.
Finally, we went to the Uinta Mountains with my brother's family. My son and his family came too. This was by far the funnest trip. We ate too much, laughed so often and even cried a little. My brother is six years older than me. We never had a chance to get close because he he moved out before I got big enough to have a relationship. Then he moved away. As you age, it seems that family becomes more important. The time we spent on this trip was so special and deeply needed.
We plan on taking Eco to the hay field this weekend. We often need to stay in the field so we can get a full day of work. It's also nice to have lunch there because of the air conditioning.
In September, we will attend a Rendezvous and go back to the Uintas for a weekend. All in all, we have used Eco to have much fun and found true joy. So worth the investment!

Sherone... oh you lucky ducky!!! Sounds like you had a fabulous time,,, with the exception of locking yourself out! hahaha! FYI.. I did that once,,, I had the spare set of keys in the Scotty,, and was busy puttering and cleaning her up,, then locked the door.. only to realize that I had also left the main set of keys on the table in the Scotty... Yep,, DH had to remove the back window so I could shimmy in and retrieve the keys.. Not a pretty sight of a 60y/o woman 'shimming' through a small window!!! lolol! Wine Please!!! haha!
