Wow Joan, that is a great well. We just have a little well here on our farm. We switched on to city water as we call it years ago. I do miss getting to draw up a bucket. I have not given up the idea of building a new thingy that goes over the well with the thing that you crank and the bucket goes up and down. (Can you tell I forget the name of it unless it is the well-house?)

All the packets went out on Monday. I don't trust the Pony Express, I hope you get them. I have received a few from you guys and I love them. I had the envelopes sitting on the table so I could do a thank you, but Hunky Hubby threw them away. I'm old, so I can't remember who sent them. lol Anyway, thanks and I love them.

I got my first fabrics that I ordered this month. They are so pretty. I did not have any farm fabrics, I had used them all up. ..So I ordered some. I went a bit nuts because I also ordered some summer themed fabrics and some just for fun for me and my stash!!! I can't wait for them to all arrive, so I can cut and press and put them into their envelopes.
Sherone, I'm old too. I don't remember a lot of things either. Chemo took away my short term memory! But thankfully I have wonderful long term memory!

About the well, we have our well pump in a well house. The "house" part is so heavy that it takes several men to lift it, so we don't have a "well" where we can send the bucket down to get water & pull it back up (I would love to have one.) We do have an old red pump we bought at a flea market years ago & have hauled from house to house. I would like to have it hooked up to get a bucket of water or a cold drink or wash my hands. I have been trying to talk my husband into doing that near the back bank behind our house where we have terraced and are planting new flowers in it this year. Maybe he will do that for Mother's Day......lol.

That would be nice Joan... We have a well with a windmill which I've tried to get my son to put back in working order for the past 20 years. My reason...if the power goes off the thirsty horses and cows need water as well as we do. He always says when I have to have it...i will fix it. I know he has a wonderful well for the barn.

Marilyn, I too have a memory problem since I had Chemo. I have a balance problem too, do you? Going to the Y for pool classes helps a lot. I Can really tell I haven't been there since it's been closed.
We have had well water and lived in the same house since we married. It's hard to drink city water! My grandparents had the pump outside and in the summer kitchen. Those were the days! Joan, I hope your hubby gives you that Mother's Day wiish! It took me 3 years for mine to put a picket fence up on the outside of our screened in porch and 15 years for another project! It only took him 3 months to redo and furnish a room in his barn though!

Darlene, I DO have a balance problem. I had never thought of it as a chemo related issue. I have fallen so many times...the two falls this year were very difficult to recover from, especially the last one. I never thought I would reach the point of always using a cane. Not for the fun of it but because I need it.

Marilyn, there was a time that I had to be near something to balance myself. I fell so many times. I still have to stop and center myself or I would fall. It drives my husband crazy! Compassion is not his thing! The pool really helps. How are your eyes? Wrecked my eyes too! After Chemo, this Staying in place is much easier for me! Where did you order your fabric? Missouri Quilt?

My eyes have been pretty good. I need new glasses but...we will see when he will do exams again. My husband is so 8mpatient...not super compassionate either. He gets aggravated at me because I walk slowly.But I know that when I walk fast I trip over things and if not for God...i would have fallen a lot more. The rehab pool is awesome. I went for several months when 9 wrecked out my artificial right knee almost 4 years ago.
I ordered some fabric from Missouri Star, a yard from some Etsy site, two yards from Jordan fabrics in Oregon and the farm animals I just got were an on line order from a local quilt shop.
Today I stayed inside and cleaned house because everyone was gone but me. I know I'm not very safe outside so I try to go out when my husband is here or my grand daughter is at their home...so I can call for help of I need to.
My neck is really bothering me. It is from two whip lash injuries long ago.

My squares will be sent on Monday, May 11th. I made one last shot to try to find patriotic fabric at the store today to no avail. So, they will be another theme.
