What are the animals doing at your farm?
Now that the snow is finally melting in Michigan, our two mini horses, Goldie and Dakota are soaking up the sunshine. Our spoiled cat, Pouncer, who has the run of the property looks like she might try to venture outside after spending months just looking out! Ann http://annforrester.tohe.com |

The chickens are enjoying scratching around in the yard, and mud, yes mud. The cows are soaking up the sunshine, getting ready to calve soooooon. Checking them twice a day now. The dog is filthy. And the sheep love to be outside too. It is so much easier on all of them, now that the weather is warmer. Michele |

We're such a mud hole here...snow on the hill across the road again this morning, too! I don't ever recall such a wet, long, dreary winter.
The chickens are finally standing in muck. It took them most of the winter, but the rain finally won out. The girls have begun to lay, though, so at least there's one positive.
My lambing is spread out all spring and summer (bleck); waiting for the first one to go. Her sides are about to burst, she's been showing around the middle since late November. Her udder still isn't full, though...
Quiet Storm just made her first public appearance. Sunny is still not wanting to be caught and is making the paddock a huge mucky mess.
Cats and dogs? Well, they're just doing what cats and dogs do best...eat and poop.

It's spring in Tennessee. Everything is getting green. The cows are calving, the barn cats are pregnant and almost ready to give birth. The chickens are enjoying being outside in the warm air, scratching for worms and bugs. I am saving brown eggs for hatching. I'll soon have 42 eggs for hatching. Our vegetable garden is plowed, potatoes, onions, lettuce, cabbage, carrotts , greens & radishes are planted. |
