Beautiful and I know it was tasty.

I didn't want to mess up the kitchen to make supper so I had a fold-over cream cheese and tomato sandwich on Ezekiel bread along with a bottle of Italian mineral water.

Did you make the clam chowder yourself? It does look SOOO! GOOD. Deer stew for us---going out to close my chickens---I always squeeze them and make them fuss. Rock on girls---we will all live as we are too mean to die---I guess I mean feisty. Let's all promise each other to live until spring. Demons out!!!!!!!!

Grace -- you weren't feeling too lazy if you made the bread bowl!
Sara -- glad to see someone else likes my favorite lo-carb bread.

Tostadas tonite-- a make-do meal with ketchup for salsa and aged dill cheddar. We use what we got.

Grace, your dinners look delicious. We have dropped back down into the 30s and have been getting light snow, so soup sounds really good! My family likes to put chili in bread bowls. We do that a lot in the fall, but would be good right now. I’m going to make chicken fajitas tonight.

I love Clam Chowder in a bread bowl too! As a matter of fact, Clam Chowder is one of my favorite soups and I always want some whenever we go near the beach.

Making bean soup with ham today, kitchen smells so good. My Aldi had spiral cut honey hams for 95 cents a pound. I cut it up and froze most for Easter, then simmered the bones for several hours, got quite a bit of ham from the bones. It is cool here today after being in the 50's and even a 60 the last few days, so soup will be so good for supper. I too have been kinda lazy, been doing a lot of reading, crocheting and writing letters and notes to my great nieces and nephews. I am retired and a widow so the days are sometimes long. My children all live near me and are still working, but I talk to them daily, good thing for phones and internet! Hope this finds you all well, safe, healthy and happy. God's Blessings.

My son brought us a big ham last week and we have been enjoying it immensely. We had red beans and kasha one night, lima beans and ham another night, and lots of packages of ham in the freezer for future meals.

Judith,, I luv butter beans and ham hocks..

Today I tinkered around,, and thin sliced (think shoe string French fries) up a large Russet potatoes,, then drizzled olive over the taters,, and sprinkled Trader Joe's Chili-garlic sea salt over the taters.. then put them under the broiler..
Oh My Stars,, easy peasy and yummy!
Seeings how we woke up to snow on the ground,, this was a yummy choice for an afternoon snack!

I, at the last minute, remembered to take a photo..

I worry that with this "staycation", staying home,, just might sabotage our diets! lolol! Oh well, it's a price I am will to pay!
