"Top of the Morning" to you lassies. Are you a lover of all things Irish and green when St. Paddy's Day gets closer? Do you look for the pot of gold at the end of each rainbow you see? Are Irish Blessings shared when you give a toast and do you keep a 4-leaf clover in your pocket for luck. Do you have a wee bit of Irish blood running through your veins?

If you answered yes to anyone of these questions, this swap might be for you.

We are having a Saint Patrick's Day swap and here are the criteria.
You must mail at least 3 green items to your partner. Besides the green items You must include:
A Shamrock-made in any medium you choose
An Irish Blessing
Something gold colored to add to your own pot of gold should you find the end of your rainbow.

The shamrock can be one of your green items.
There are some great ideas on Pinterest for this swap.

Sign-ups will go through February 27th. Mail out is no later than March 7th.

We have an odd number for this swap so partners are done on round robin, so you will send to one farmgirl and get a package from another. Partners are:
Treelady sends to Dirtduchess
Dirtduchess sends to Natchap
Natchap sends to Sweettea59
Sweettea50 sends to desperado dreams
Desperadodream send toTexas Gran
Texas Gran sends to laurzgot
Laurzgot send to Red Tractor Girl
Red Tractor Girl sends to MaryJanesNiece
MaryJanesNiece sends to Suny58
Suny58 sends to lovinRchickens
LovinRchickens sends to treelady

Please contact your partner within 3 days of sign-up deadline for shipping information. If contact has not been made within that time I will redistribute partners. Please check your junk folder if you have not heard from your partner- several messages have been lost there.

Aren't they just one of the greatest bands Marilyn. I am also a huge fan of The Celtic Ladies. I have been to 3 of their concerts and think they couldn't get any better than each time I go.

Please sign me up, Julie! We had the good fortune to visit Ireland last September and I finally got to see the land where my Father's lineage came from to America during the potato famine. This will be a fun exchange and thank-you for hosting!!

Krista,

There are lots of Irish Blessings you can find online. Some rhyme, some don't but they are well-wishes for life. Some are hilarious!

Here is a sweet one~

An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Keep shining!
Natalie

I'm not sure how much Irish I have, but I'm pretty sure my maternal grandfather had some. My cousin told me that our Robinson roots were deep in Scotland. But then they were moved to Ireland, she thought by the government or ??? In an attempt to get some Scots to marry some Irish so as to calm the Irish down a bit.Well my ancestors did not like that beautiful green isle, and quickly continued on to England and America...on a very early ship. So most of my St. Patty's day learning came from reading about it to first graders. I think God must love Ireland...because it is such a beautiful green place with sheep.

Many years ago I arrived home from work, on a spring day, just as a big thunderstorm had stopped raining it's blessing rain on the land. I have always been excited to see God's promise, the rainbow, in the sky. But on that day our home was green, every tree was green from the ground up to the top top! As I stood there in disbelief, slowly I realized we were in the rainbow!
(We had 14 big old oak trees and pecan trees that surrounded our house!)

Hi Patsy,
Your package is going out today. Remember ladies this is a round robin swap. The person you are sending to is not the same person you will receive from.
