Happy New Year my farmgirl friends. With the New Year comes new swaps.
January is a quiet month, so I thought a Vintage Hanky Swap would be fun. For this swap, please share a vintage hanky with your partner. Sign-ups will be through January 15, mail out will be January 25th.
As always tucks are OK, but should not be expected.

If you are interested in vtg hankies, there is a lovely book about collecting hankies..
it does help to get a 'story' behind some of the styles and designers..
I have a Tom Lamb hankie and also a
Shirley Temple-Black, called "The Little Colonel.
I really should frame these 2 hankies....

I also have a sweet hand stitched 'Days of the Week' set... minus the Saturday hankie...
I can only guess it wore out from being used a lot or.. misplaced or given away...
I hand wash all my hankies in mild soap and rinse in vinegar water and then when ironing I use lavender water spritz...
I think each hankie has a story to share... A child's 1st hanky,, a gift for grandma, a brides special gift to her brides maids... a teacher's gift... or just a special pretty hanky bought for ones self...
What is your hanky's story?
