Farm Sisters,
I received a note with my Bedazzled Paperclips that our Farm Sister Darlene
(darlenelvesart) is in a long term acute care hospital until at least Oct. 16. She may be moved to an assisted living facility for a while after that. She was diagnosed with an infected right knee replacement along with a deep vein thrombosis of the same leg in early Sept.
I think she would appreciate any cheerful notes and cards while recovering.

Will get her a card in the mail on Saturday----the one day I know for sure I am coming up out of here and can get to the PO. Hope she does well with her recovery.

Darlene has been moved to a different room.
It is now room number 242 B.
That is what her daughter posted.

I've been sending cards each week, to her P.O. Box in Loleta. I'm happy to finally have her address. Thank you so much.
Thank you Debbie for the room change information.
Does anyone have an update on her condition? Like when do they think they can replace her knee?

Won’t be another 4 weeks or so for the total knee. They said she would be in the rehab facility for 6-8 weeks and it has only been a couple of weeks.
She has been getting quite a few get wall cards from Farmgirls at the rehab and hospital so she was happy,
Marilyn I believe her friend got the mail from her P.O. Box as there was a lot.

I am sending flowers to help cheer her up. They should be there Friday. I think she will like that. I also have a card ready to go out in the mail tomorrow. I am wondering about sending some magazines? Just something to read when she gets bored.

Angela, the address is the same as in the first post above by Patsy, except the room # is 145 A. NO worries on Room #s. if it changes again, the hospital said, she will get all of her mail.
