Sorry I haven't been on here sooner - some unexpected farm work cut into my crafting time for a couple weeks.

I did finally get all the pieces cut. That took a bit longer than I expected LOL! Here's the pile

Good thing I don't need the dining room table much :)

Here's what I did with some of the non winter fabrics

I still need to stitch them but I haven't decided if I want to add some buttons and ribbon or just stitches.

Here's a couple of the ones I got embroidered before my machine died.

I'll take more pictures once I start getting it all put together.

Heather, that is going to be awesome once it's all together! It's pretty awesome now to see the pieces. Great idea on the embroidery and applique.

Hi fellow sewers, I got a shoe box full of pre-cut hexagon fabric from a neighbor friend. I have more than I will ever use and I would like to give away to someone who could make some good use with them. Group 1: Is strips, like mens shirts. Group 2: mini prints like cowboy and coffee. Group3: is mini floral. Let me know if you are interest and I will mail them out A.S.A.P.

Heather, your quilt project is starting to really come together! I do love those mittens on various scraps for the front. It is perfect for hubby! Your busy schedule continues to amaze me that you even have a moment to work on such a detailed sewing endeavor! This quilt is going to be such a fun gift no matter when you get it finished. Cows come first!! And if it wasn’t for farmers like you, people like me wouldn’t have that ice cream for our holiday pies or those yummy cheeses on a party snack platter. I Sure hope Santa leaves all of your girls a little special treat in their fed on Christmas. By the way, you know the story that the animals speak at midnight on Christmas Eve? Have you ever snuck into your barn to see if your girls are talking??? Inquiring minds want to know!! LOL!!

LOL Winnie! I've never snuck out on Christmas eve just in case that's the time santa decided to stop by. I wouldn't want to spoil their Christmas magic anyway :)

Since my machine quit on me and my old one is junk I didn't get the complete quilt done in time, but I did get the top finished thanks to my mother in law! She let me borrow her machine. Here is it on my kitchen floor:

And here's after hubby opened it:

and thanks to the best in laws in the world - I got a new sewing & embroidery machine for Christmas!!!!!! I'll be undecorating the tree in the living room today since it's pretty much dead anyway. That'll give me more room and hopefully by the end of the week I'll have it all finished up.

Thank you so much everyone for helping me with this. I can't tell you how much it meant to me!
