I am so very sorry for your loss. What a beautiful dog she was. I lost my Oreo a little over two years ago and I miss him every day. He blessed our lives for almost thirteen years. I am looking for a rescue, but nothing has captured my heart yet. Sending you big hugs.

Hi Nancy---I surely do feel your pain. I lost my dog of fourteen years on the third of July. Even though he was old and sick and had to go on I still miss him terribly and see him every where. I am remembering all the funny things he did and how fun he was. We buried him by the creek where he loved to swim every summer day. They bring us such joy and then their death brings much sadness---that is for sure. I don't have time to sit and be sad though as the six other dogs I have still need my love and care. And I've been raising a fawn for a month and he is such a joy---loves me as much as I love him. Animals are good for our souls so it is only natural to miss them so very much when they leave us. Time will take away the sadness and you'll have the happy memories of her.

Thank you everyone. Shylo was my big country girl. She loved to explore nature like her mommy. She loved Dog Beach and had a silly personality. She lived the longest out of all our fur babies. This past year though she slowed down quite a bit. Like most big dogs getting up was hard due to her hips. We think she had a stroke and she went kind of fast.
Bitter sweet blessing, Saturday we left California for good and have spent the past two days on the road. If she had crossed over on the road it would have been devastating. She went to be with her brothers and sisters from her own home on her own bed. Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
