Hi there ladies. My daughter told me a couple of weeks ago that she is getting married. Hubby and I was very happy for her, as her boyfriend is a wonderful guy. He just inlisted in the military and his grandmother is buying them a house as a wedding present, so they will have a good start...oh by the way...daughter is going to college to be an RN so they do have good heads about them. Well anyway, daughter and soon to be son-in-law comes in last night and tell me that they are having a baby. I am so excited for them but I think they jump started their lives a little to quickly....but I am going to be a grandma...woo hoo. Needless to say...the wedding that was supposed to happen next May is now happening this May. I am really happy for them.

Yay Fawn...you will LOVE being a grandma. I am too young for it, but became one two years ago. I have a granddaughter, and our oldest daughter met a man with twin boys. They are my grandsons. Hey I am not even 40 yet, but man do I love to be a grandma. MJ

Fawn, what a blessing! Congratulations!!! I have two, my grandson is 2 years old, and his sister my sweet grandaughter Calli Jo is almost 4 weeks old. What a wonder they are. I do think I worry more about them than I did my own children. I remember my precious grandma, she passed away 16 years ago. I just hope I can be half the grandmother she was to me. On my blog I posted a short story about my grandmother and my memories from when I was a child. I pray I make some special memories that my grandchildren will treasure. ~~Blessings, Mikki

Such joy, Fawn. I don't have any children yet, but our niece and nephew have sure made my in-laws (and us!) incredibly happy. It's changed Christmas for us, Easter--just about everything is much more wonderful because those two little ones are around to share it.
Enjoy yourself, and remember, everything happens for a reason. It may seem like it's all sudden, but it's truly a blessing--when he's away in the military, she'll have that little bundle to snuggle up to and to keep her busy!

Fawn, Congratulations to you. Being a grannie is the best. We just found out that dd & sil are having another in September. I thought they married a bit young and started right off with a baby, but they are doing great!! Enjoy.
