I'm actually PUMPED about this new year! Out with the things that shook my year up and in with the ' peace that passes understanding"!! I've been cleaning up clutter so to speak, making simple but extremely positive changes ALREADY and even now am feeling so much calmer, grounded. How about you? What does this New Year bring for you? How about your January??
We've been unseasonably warm this month which leaves me feeling a tad blue because I miss the cold stuff! Others HAVE snow and are enjoying it tremendously! So, this months ATC is 'Winter White OR Winter Blues'!! You make one ATC in any theme as long as it is either ALL blue(s) or ALL white!!
Sign up until the 18th, partners on the 19th and mail off by the 30.
Should be fun and creative!! Enjoy!!
If you are new to the swap here is a brief description:
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist Trading Cards are 2 1#8260;2 by 3 1#8260;2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.[1]

Thanks Dianna, how are you and Sara doing. It is cold here. I bought a slew of strawberry roots yesterday at Walmart. Tonight I put them in cups of soil.Now they are in our living room. It is supposed to be nice this week thru Thursday, so maybe I will build them a cold frame! I have never raised strawberries.

Hey Marilyn!!! We are good! One day at a time! It's been warm here so I've been cleaning g up the garden, the leading some rehabbed squirrels and clearing out brush! The weather changed yesterday so now I'm catching up on sewing! Your strawberry plants sound great! I think we are going to put out some blueberry bushes and maybe one strawberry. I've never had much luck. Sounds like you do! Even tho Sara had Christmas break shes anxious for spring break! Stay warm my friend!!!

That is the way I work. When the sun shines I think it is warm...not so. But today was ok, almost got to 60°...for a minute. My husband finally bought a pickup, so now I get my car back. I got 40 more strawberry roots, and they are in plastic cups of soil. I watched a young lady on you tube who said that she did this and by the time Wal-Mart and the nurseries were selling beautiful strawberry plants for as much as $5 each hers were equally as nice and ready to plant in her garden. So I am hopeful!
Oh I understand Sara wanting a break already. I think the college's here start back next week. MLK day is Monday so perhaps they begin classes on Tuesday. I'm hoping tomorrow is pretty and no wind, so I can be outdoors most of the day.
