So ladies, I have owned this Cricut Explore Air 2 for over 2 years now and still have no idea how it works. I have looked on Utube for videos and online instructions, but now I feel like it was a waste of money. Do any of you have this machine and if so how is it working out for you? Help in Staten Island

I bought the Cricut Expression-2, quit a few years ago and I hardly used it. I got the Cricut Maker last year and I love it. It can get frustrating sometimes though, especially considering they hardly give you any instructions at all. I love Cricut Design Space and I subscribe to Cricut Access. You can get thousands of copy right free images through Cricut Access, I think it's so worth it. I have made tiles with the vinyl, cards, cut outs, and flowers with my Maker so far.

Marcy, is the Cricut Maker the latest machine? I'm sorry I bought the Air 2. It seems you enjoy the Maker better.

Yes, the Maker is the newest machine. The Maker is even supposed to cut wood although I haven't tried it yet. I know trying to use the Cricut can be frustrating, there are times when I would love to fling mine across the room! If you have any questions, please ask away and I will help if I can.

I've had a Cricut for years. I started with the original machine where you had to plug in the cartridges - now I have one where you have to use the Cricut Design Space and be online to use it.
It took some time to get used to the design space software but I use the heck out of it now.
Is the software what you are struggling with? I'll have to research that particular model more.
I would say that starting simple at first and then growing your comfort level is best. Not sure what projects you are trying to tackle?
I've found that if I need a particular image - 9 times out of 10 I can just google it. Like I needed a birthday cake image recently, didn't own one, so I googled "birthday cake svg" and when I found one I liked I saved it my computer and then uploaded it to the design space. Love that I can do that!!!
Happy to chat about this more! The Cricut is SUCH a great tool and can do so much - but I totally get the learning curve. Once you are over that hump you will be off and flying I think - hoping there is not something about your particular model that I am not aware of that is an issue!!! |

It's a snowy day here in the North East so I thought I would take my Cricut out of the closet and attempt to make something creative. Wish me luck lol

I have an old Cricut machine, that uses the little pop in cartridges... I noticed our Joanns Fabric store no longer carries the little cartridges... I have about 5 of the cartridges... but I use it so rarely, so no biggie... Mostly I use it for Letterers and Numbers... Boy-o-boy am I a slug! lol!

I found a tutorial for beginners that seem a little more easier to understand. Hopefully, I can try something with this. LOL
