Hay there!
Its been quite awhile since this VIRTUAL Hen House has been active. Lets change that. I would like to begin with a Christmas Card swap. This VIRTUAL Chapter is spread out all over the globe so we can't have a get-together but we can still have some fun. My email is phrdaizy@aol.com. I hope the original Farmgirls will send me their snail mail addresses. I will compile a list and then send that list to each email I receive so you can prepare to send out your Christmas cards. To make it a bit more fun please send a recipe of one of your most favorite dishes, cookies, etc. inside the card. I think we should have a dead line for the emails to be sent to me so I can gather them and resend back to you. The date is November 21st. I will send them back by December 1st which will allow time for the cards to reach your Farmgirl sisters. I hope to have LOTS of addresses to resend so please jump in and lets have a fun card/recipe swap.
PS. For those that don't know about this VIRTUAL Hen House it is open to anyone and everyone. I will be glad to add you name.

I'd love to be added to the virtual hen house! I used to be in a Farmgirl Sisterhood group, but I moved too far away to attend gatherings.
As I don't celebrate Christmas (I'm Jewish), I won't participate in the swap unless someone wouldn't mind getting a Hanukkah card instead! ;)

Yes I would love to join the chapter. I have looked at other chapters on here but they are so far along in knowing each other that it's hard to join in. Sigh me up. Sounds like fun. I have very few friends to talk to so it will be great for me.

I think I have the best recipe in mind to send out in my cards. Its one that my mother got from her mother so it comes from a loooooong line of wonderful women! Just noticed you live in Talladega. My husbands brother lives there. He is a preacher at one of the churches. He loves Alabama---likes the people there.

The deadline to join this card/recipe swap is getting closer (11-21).
If you would like to be included in this swap then by all means please do. I am excited to see what recipes are the favorites in everyones homes.
I have to clean off my mantle over Thanksgiving for the Christmas cards that I receive but I do like to display them......I stand in front of my fire to warm up and they will be at eye level.
Also, if you would like to join in our VIRTUAL Poor House Farm Girl chapter then just let me know in your email when you send me your snail mail address. My email address is phrdaizy@aol.com ..... also posted in the first post. Please be aware that you must be a current member of Mary Janes Farm to become a member in a Hen House chapters......but not in the card/recipe swap. I agree, Mz Barbara. My card list has dwindled recently also. Its always nice to receive snail mail these days. It seems that everyone wants to do greetings and sentiments via cyber space and online social media. Makes me miss the anticipation of checking the mail box......for something other than bills! I will be sending everyone the mailing list, however, it may not be in your emails until Wed. or Thur. I have had surprise company this whole weekend and got NOTHING accomplished.....I am sorry. Also, I am still waiting for the packet of items for the new chapter sign ups. Some of you girls are not current members of MJF and will need to become current members to be added to the chapter.....rules, rules, rules!! So please check to see that your membership is current so I can send you your Poor House Farm Girl stuff.
