Have been jumping around while reading Maryjane's book.
on page 401 it shows a nevr-stoop wash basket.
Has anyone seen one of these?
are they still available?
Or anyone have a pattern to make one?
Looks like something I'd like to have.
Thanks for any info...

Karen,
I've not seen this type of never stoop method (except in MJ's book), but I do have a laundry bag made of muslin that hangs between two wooden side legs.... I think I'll rework it and see about making it into this variety. If I'm successful I'll let ya know!

Check on eBay. I bought a one (not vintage) for about $14 plus shipping. I redid the fabric and right now it holds my knitting stuff. But as soon as I get a clothesline it will be used for laundry! Also check garage sales or even the Goodwill.

Gosh darn, I just saw a wash basket which has legs that drop down when you pick it up...now if I could just remember where I saw it...probably some catalog. Get back to you all on this.
