With our fresh fallen 15 inches of snow, we are going out to the cabin to tool around on the snow mobiles. Afterward, we are coming home and building a fire outside on which we will cook today's chili and play in the snow whilst it cooks.

It is so pretty, it is just a shame that it didn't come sooner than now.

I iwll post pictures on my blog later today....

Not doing much. I did a load of clothes and a load of sheets and maybe towels later on when the water gets hot again.

Fixed tuna helper for lunch. Not very good for you but easy.

Looking for a good movie on tv. The Burning Bed is on with Farrah Fawcett. It is pretty good. I saw it a long time ago.

The weather is dreary. Last night was terrible. It poured rain all night and the wind was awful. Today we have had some rain but not like yesterday. Hopefully it will clear.

Blessed are those who love the soil,

Patsy

Did dishes, laundry and swept the kitchen. Doing more dishes and laundry. Finishing knitting some hats I am working on and then working on client projects the rest of the day. When done with that, I have a cross stitch sampler and some crocheted plant hangers to finish for my sister's birthday gift.

Hubby went down to the farm with a load of windows and doors which we salvaged from the old house. His goal today is to finish clearing out the backyard and move all the building materials down to the farm. Then he wants to finish building his beehives and paint them.

Sunday .. we're heading for the Toledo Museum in a few minutes. There is an African American woman who 'quilts' and she will be presenting her 'stories' of her life's journeys through her quilting. THEN .. there is a wonderful FAMILY
Heritage project where we will take photos and make a collage from them. Lucas has chosen pictures of himself, Sofia and his mom and dad .. to make a collage for his dad to give to him to 'welcome' him home.

THEN .. we are going to the BOOK STORE (again!!) and maybe hit a fabric and/or craft store for 'grammie'!

AND .. we are doing what Frank and Wednesday call their 'Amish Family Visits' .. that is when they make the rounds at their parents and grandparents homes just to touch base and give hugs.

Guess we better get on the road to get all this done! (had a sprinkling of snow last night .. so the roads are a little slick!) have a FUN SUNday gurlfrenz! xoxo

I am at school today; just finished with classes and tonight attending Assembley (our school government). Then I'm going home and having dinner and putting the 15 bean soup that's been soaking all day in a pot and cook it.

Well, I left for church at 8:30 this morning, gave a talk in Spanish (which I do not speak very well, and understand even less!) got home at 3:30 and had to check in on the farmgirls. It was pouring when I left and brilliantly sunny out when I got home! Dinner will be going on soon- grilled chicken and rice with a nice spinach salad. I think I will sneak off to the craft room after dinner, and make my signature circle for Julie.

Well Hubby is sick so we didn't go to church today. I made my bunny for the bunny swap and another one for my sister who is having a baby. I am also going to Nashville next Friday to host a baby shower for my sister so I made all the guest favors today. I will post some pics later but they are on my other computer. I need to do laundry but right now laying on the couch and typing seems more fun!

My day was uneventful. We went grocery shopping, my husband, me and the two little ones, this afternoon. We were long overdue. I could tell that by the empty cupboards and the end tally. I did a little cleaning, a little homework, some laundry and some lecturing (teenager). I hope to have a quiet evening. I would like to read or sew a little, but I really need to do some seed ordering...and some more homework.

Milked summer, washed milker, finished making cottage cheese, that had set over night. Cleaned barn, feed chickens, started plowing snow, son finished. Made mozzarella, made butter, got a roast in the crock pot, Folded clothes. Sat for a hour, and knitted. Started all over again feeding animals, milking, etc. Oh forgot all the dishes. 2 sons are supposed to wash supper dishes, and not done yet!!!! Have to go inspire them to get moving! ;) Michele P.S. am ready for bed.

I have been doing laundry and stitching in between these things. Fed the cats, cleaned the litter boxes and swept the garage that they stay in. Made pancakes for breakfast, went to my moms and poured some candles & tealights. Played with the dog. Burned some brush, planted some lettuce and spinich, may be early but worth a try.Fed the birds. Changed my garden flags to spring lookin flags. I also changed wreaths. I made a angelfood cake, 3 pizza crusts to freeze to use thru the week. For supper we had baked sweet-potato fries and fish. I washed all the dishes. I am now reading and resting! I was actually thinking about going to bed, but looked at the clock and it is only 7:15, so I'll be up for a while longer.

Stayed home today expecting the big snowstorm that never came, thank goodness. Did some stitching on a felt table topper, practiced knitting, can't quite figure out how to hold the yarn correctly. Need a human to show me instead of pictures. The last two days were very busy, so had a lazy day today...took a nap, talked with my sister in Michigan, read...just enjoyed the quiet.

Boy, my Sunday flew by! I had my grandsons over, and spent the early and later part of the day doing extra chores in the barn, as the horses all had to be locked in due to the bad weather. I don't mind if they get a little snow on them, but I don't like them to be pelted with sleet or freezing rain. After my daughter collected her boys and evening chores were done, we watched "The Exorcism of Emily Rose." Gosh, I had no idea that was based on a true story. Yeesh.

Patsy, it was years after The Burning Bed first came out that I could bear to watch it. I was abused in my first marriage, and it was just too painful to see. A couple of years ago my father, who still lives in my old hometown, called to tell me my ex dropped dead in his driveway. I was surprised to find I felt nothing. I've had more emotional reactions over weather reports.

Today should be a fine day. I have to do chores and clean stalls this morning, put up some new fence in one paddock, go to my five year old gelding's winter barn to school him there, and do a general pick up in the house. I don't know what's for dinner yet, nor have I started any laundry. I might not have time for that today....

My Sunday was quiet since I stayed home with a sick child. BUT, yesterday was a whole different story. I went to get my new NC driver's license and tags. I put the story up on my blog, because I thought it was just too funny not to share. If you get a chance, stop by a read DMV Island Style. I'm still amazed at where I had to go and get the tag.....no one warned me about that one.
