Does anyone else like to wear skirts when it is hot? They are comfy and look better than shorts.

oes skorts mean wering leggings underneath---then yes I do that--but n0 no skirts for me. My big dog bies me when we start to walk ou of happiness. He ripped my bike shorts yesterday and I don't want him to bite my butt. LL

I am medicated but not motivated---LOL---I do truly believe in leggings under skirts---how nice if we had known that in the seventies. Those were painful days of holding your skirt as you went up the steps in high school---no wonder the principle demanded we all wear skirts. I was so innocent then but now all I see is pervert teachers---and I know three of them personally. Life do get tedious. As Bob Seger says---wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then. LOL

Cindy I don't wear skorts but years ago I did when they were called culottes and knee or below knee in length. Now I wear maxi dresses or jeans year round.

Hi everyone,
I had several skorts a while back but a new dress code came in at work and they were banned. I ended up giving them away. I loved them because they were comfortable but looked like skirts. Wish now I would have melted them.

I also wear shorts in the summer. They are more flattering and comfortable than shorts. I need to buy more this year, its been a few years since I have gotten summer clothes. I tend to wear my clothes until they fall apart.

Wow, I haven't thought about skorts for decades and didn't even know they were still popular. They were all the rage when I was a teenager and then I went to wearing regular bermuda shorts . These days, capris are a better solution over shorts or shorts.

It’s been ages since I have worn a skort. Last time had to be when I was child. They sound very comfy. I will have to see if I can find me an adult pair! I always preferred them as a child because my mom made me wear slips with normal skirts and I absolutely hated slips lol so shorts underneath were a life saver.

I wear mostly capris and shorts. I haven't thought about skorts in ages. I think I'll see what's available.

I wear dresses and skirts all summer long. It is just cooler to me.

Hi Cindy - this is an older post, but YES!! I usually wear sun dresses all summer long and just recently added skorts to my attire! Love them, comfty, provides coverage where you need it and still looks and feels feminine!! I'm a total fan!!

I agree -- skirts and dresses for the summer. Is there a difference between skorts and culottes? I'd like to make culottes again if I could find a pattern for them.
