There is always one,, who feels the need to cut from the herd...lol! This lil tubby quail decided to sit watch over my potted Zinna seedlings...
One of my many joys of living out in the country,, the endless supply of birds and their silly antics... And our quails have come to be comfortable around us and hang around in the mornings when I come out with their seed... we even have a small group of Dove that hang around for breakfast and dinner. >^..^< Happiness is being a katmom and Glamping Diva!

Grace, if you love Quails, check out this old English Transfer ware china named Furnivals Quail. It came in both blue and brown and features Quails. I was gifted a small milk pitcher in blue which I love. At one time I had a few of their dishes but over the years, they got broken. You can find photos of it on Ebay of pieces still floating around for sale.

I agree that there is usually a weird animal around. We have a hen that decided she was leaving the flock and moving in the goats. We kept putting her back and she keep going back to the goats. She has been with them a few years now and loving life with them.

Gloom can be fun Grace---I am fair skinned and hate the heat---I am loving our cool summer so far.

I just adore the quail! I was sitting on my front porch just before lunch time today and a pair came scurring into my front yard and hung out for a while, was fun to watch them diddle daddle! Beautiful little creatures!
