Yes, Ladies, it’s time for another great card swap for June. The May cards have been beautiful... I loved opening all of them!
JUNE SWAP THEME .... SUMMER VACATION.....
Weather you are going to the mountains or the beach, or wish you were. Perhaps a Stay-cation where you stay home watching the birds and squirrels from your lawn chair while sipping ice tea, or playing with the kids or grandkids.... A summer garden to lovingly tend.... It’s All Good!
So.... create a card that shows something you’ll be doing/enjoying this Summer (or wish you were)...
Mail out by June 5th....or close to it. Happy Creating Mary

I need to focus. Mowing is an every morning chore along with caring for three batches of little baby chicks. Fun, fun, fun, but I must let everything grow and have some Card making fun.

I had a friend who would give me a baby chick now and then. I’d put him ( most turned out to be roosters) under a light in the laundry room. When he got a bit bigger he went in a large shed with straw covered floor and water and food. I wound up with 4 roosters and 1 hen.that year...go figure.. one was a fighting cock and I had to go in the shed with a broom. He wanted to sneak up behind and spur me. Capon Anyone? Mary

My husband has Nankin Bantum chickens. Thomas Jefferson raised that variety. The roosters are beautiful...and mean, mean, mean. I have only gone in that pen three of four times in five years. They jumped on my back, ran at me with wings spread out, etc. I said, "No more!" He just ordered 15 more and they came Wednesday. He needs some more little hens, I hope there are a bunch and only a couple of roos.

Marilyn, Sorry, but so funny. I’m a very visual person and can just see this little guy taking on this giant threat to his hens! Hope he didn’t hurt you. I think I’d get Orpingtons. Would he notice? Love the historical connection, though. I’ll google them. Mary

I love Orpingtons too. I have two hens who are four years old, and we have eight little ones who are probably 8 weeks old. They are so busy and sweet.
