Oh how I could use a dose of sunshine and aprons.. I will be down here in Palm Springs till next Thursday taking care of mom. I made here a mini apron to tie around her water bottle at the stroke rehab.. she always points to it when I walk into the room. It does a heart good.

Grace, what a thoughtful package!
I could use some sunshine here. We've had rain for two weeks and I am done with wet everything! Can you send some my way?? LOL

Grace---it seems to me that if you can sew a lot better than I can; that maybe you could use a jumper pattern to make this apron---just modify it. I had an aunt who could sew like this. She could make dresses from a picture. This would be easy if you are talented that way. I sure am not---although when I was younger I could sew really hard patterns. That me is long gone---replaced by a burned out chore ridden old farm woman. LOL.

Grace---I have a wonderful apron dress pattern from 1952. It is a halter wrap dress. It is bust 32. When I was younger I wore this size. You look slim and that you might could wear this. I am not fat---just a bit plump for my height. It says all here on the back. I doubt if you would want it but I would mail it to you if you do. I have hundreds of old patterns---how I wish that you could see them. I also have an 80's or 90's apron dress pattern---a wrap halter dress.

Hey HG56, sorry I didn't respond sooner, I just flew back home yesterday after spending the past 8 days with my mom. I love vtg 1950's & '60's patterns... so if you would like to find a new home for that sweet apron pattern,, I would love to be it's home.

I have been so busy I didn't have time to answer you. I will mail your pattern to you when I can get to the PO. Email me your address when you get time and I will get it there. I counted my old patterns and I have 865 of them mostly from the forties and fifties. I about fainted. I know they will just be thrown away when I die. Very sad.

I also love old patterns, Barbara. I have quite a few, but definitely no where near 865 of them. I probably have 50 or so. You are so lucky to have that many. And I have a lot of newer apron patterns - many I have never made. I have one I got that looks so cute and ruffled, and then I realized how much fabric it used and haven't made it yet. LOL!

Actually---I used to treasure my vintage patterns and I don't know how I ever got so many, but now I just feel sorry for them. I wish I knew what I should do with them. Any ideas? I know that places online sell them. My will is made to my nephew in Ohio and he sure isn't going to want them. Grace---I will mail you the books and pattern as soon as I can get out of here. No need to send postage---I am just trying to give some things to people that would enjoy them.
