I thought I'd share a pic of an antique wood cook stove I was given a while back. It's a Glenwood C #108. We are having it restored for the home we are going to buy. It also has a water tank which is awesome. The exact date is unknown but it's believed it could be from 1914.
I daydream about standing over it, making stew on a cold winters day. I can't wait!!
I'd love to see what kind of wood cook stoves you all have.
I love your stove. My mother used one when I was a little girl. She loved it, but gosh was it horrible to use in the summer. She finally had to get an electric range for summer use. I myself have three antique gas ranges. I have a mid-forties one in my house and a twenties one out on our porch to cook on in the summer. Our cabin has one from the thirties. I love all of them. It will be interesting to see who still cooks with wood.
