Hubby and I were a bit stir crazy from the rain.. so we loaded up and drove out to Idaho for lunch and Thrifting..
We had fun and brought our trove of goodies home.... I bought a small sewing table cabinet (w/o a machine)for $6 and a sweet apron, pink satin w/black dots, $2.50, a fun quilting pattern and other goodies...

My plan for the sewing machine cabinet is to sand it down and chaulk paint it and use it as a portable Tea/Wine bar...I will post pics when I get it repurposed.

Please post pictures. I have a sewing cabinet with a non-working machine and I thought of something like that.
Nice apron and pattern.

Linda, I re-did a larger one 3yrs ago... and sold it ... this one is smaller and will work great to take along on my glamping trips.
I'll try to post a B-4 pic tomorrow.

I love your great finds and I love going to thrift shops. We have an antique store/thrift shop in our post office building. It was an old general store. I am always going to the PO and coming back with stuff---yesterday there was free books and of course I took a few. Last week I was able to get a nice collection of beautiful pink depression glass at a reasonable price. My husband does not approve of my junk collecting as he calls it. So I never told him about and hid it until I could get it in the china cabinet. Imagine how happy I was when he went in the dining room and never even noticed it. I can probably keep it a secret for several more months ha,ha. Happy thrifting to you!

What color are you painting it, Grace? I have some tomato red chalk paint I got at The Magnolia, in Waco. Haven't done anything with it yet. I also want to paint and decoupage somme train cases I got for $5 each.

Great finds Grace. I love the design of the pink apron. It kind of reminds me of Barbie!

Here is a pic of the one I sold,

I had a lil shop and sold goodies for 6months.

and I had fun re-creating goodies...

but in the end,, I discovered,,, I like to Shop more then sell!!! lol!

this is the cabinet I just bought,, someone had slopply painted the cabinet brown,, so with a lil sanding and some chaulk paint it should look cute.

it is sitting out in the garage till I get back from California... then I get to wave my wand and turn Cinderella into a Princess... lol!
I am going to expand the (machine) opening and attach a galvanized bucket to hold ice and bottles.
