Hello Farmgirls! I'm brand new here - just bought MaryJane's book yesterday - but I'm really excited to be here! For a long time I've wanted a tiny farm, just an acre or two for family-scale farming. Seeing the book has sort of rekindled that for me. Who knows when or if it will ever happen, but it's cool to dream about for now. I haven't poked around too much yet...looking forward to participating in this community!

Welcome,welcome.....I know you will love this place. It is a place of friendship, kinship and renewal. Read and loved your blog, have some of the books you show and will look for the others. I too can shuck many of the extras in this world, but books....ah, now that is a different story. Again, welcome. Oh, how is the bacteria soup coming along? Did you have a nice weekend trip?

Wow!!! What a warm, wonderful welcome! Thanks to all of you. I'm new in the blogosphere - glad to hear it's enjoyable to read as well as to write! I grew up in San Jose, made my way across the country a couple of times and landed here in Sacto with DBF. Looking forward to spending a lot of time on the "virtual front porch" here! :D

Hi! I'm so happy to have another Sacto girl here! I grew up in Marysville, then moved to Sacto, now I'm in Colo. I REALLY miss it, but it has changed a lot since I lived there. From your blog it looks like you live in one of the cool houses downtown? I just love it there. We had a friend that lived on "G" st, and it was so pretty there. Ok, now I'm REALLY home sick! Guess that will always be home. Anyhoo...Welcome and I'm looking forward to getting to know you! Big Hugs, Lu
