A huge conference (I forget where, but in the U.S.) on global warming was cancelled due to ice & snow

Along the same lines-I am a science teacher, and my supervisor scheduled a big meeting to talk about the report on Global Warming that was just issued, and our approach to teaching about it, etc.

Well, we had a snow day that day!
