Just a couple pages into the newest issue and there was MaryJane, wearing the afghan that I put together from squares lovingly made by my fellow farmgirl sisters. At the time I had the idea to do this for a Christmas present for MaryJane, I had no idea about the afghan she had seen at Anthropology and was pining for. What a great story and a fantastic memory. I am so grateful for the farmgirl sisterhood.

Diane,
I was reading the article yesterday. What a wonderful gift. Your farmgirl heart is still shining through.

I used to do the dishcloth swap for several years in a row. Then I saw Maryjane's Afghan and decided to make all of my dishcloths into the same thing. This happened the year I was Farm Sister of the Year in 2014. MaryJane helped me find a friend who took my squares and then crocheted them all together. It is my favorite piece of Farmgirl nostalgia!! All of those wonderful swaps now all united into an afghan that I can use forever!! When I use it to snuggle in, I feel so close to years of wonderful friends here at MJF!! I highly recommend making one if you have lots of swap dishcloths that are unused.

I read this article just the other day and really enjoyed it! I wish I would have been around to participate with you! It sounds like such an exciting and fun adventure and being able to connect with other Farmgirls. I definitely want to make something like this with other Farmgirls sometime!

That was such a fun project. I can still remember the squares I did for it.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Hey, Winnie, can you show us a photo of your dishcloth afghan? That is a brilliant idea. Most of the dishcloths are too pretty to use for wiping up.
