There wasn't much and I only went one place, but I got a few neat things.

I got 4 coffee mugs that are really cute
4 ceramic napkin rings with flowers on them
a very brightly colored tunic to cover up my belly dancing costume when I am not dancing
2 shirts
a dress
a pair of woolies for ROb (His only thrifting request ever)
a couple of embroidery hoops
2 blue candles
2 black candles

not too bad for only going to one fo the three places I go.

Ooooo good haul Tasha. I stopped in to The Thrifty Quaker today and found 4 yards of a wonderful vintage 36" width creamy white dotted swiss. The real stuff, not the flocked swiss. Also 2-1yard vintage remnants of a wax cloth. They are hanging dry right now. Also two really cool vintage patterns. Bell bottoms and tunic for my daughters and a petticote/skirt pattern. The other day, I got a jumper dress with hand made buttons on it. There are 12 beautiful Christmas handmade buttons and I got the dress for $1.00! Cool, Huh?

oooo and I forgot, I got two different yardages of some jersey material. Stripey, both of them. I haven't unrolled them to wash them yet, but I bet I got about 6-7 yards of fabric....maybe more.

Awesome finds girls!!! I'm thinking we need a thrifty queen crown or something. The most thrifty things I did today was to buy recycled garbage bags and took my own canvas bag into the grocery store to put my organic foods in instead of using plastic.

Blessings....

I went to GW today and got an awesome vintage coat, Navy with a fur collar, swing style from the 50's-60's for 3 bucks, a brown suede handbag, same era 4 bucks, 3 japanese small trays for DD, .69 each, fabric for a project 99 cents, and a medium wisk broom with a few dried flowers in it (for my alter) for 50 cents.

Everyone got such great stuff! The only luck I have thrifting anymore is really great vintage shirts and old man cardigans for my husband.

Wow, Kim Your Goodwill must be staying true to their mission statement..vintage coats at our GW sell for 15-20 bucks here, leather ones from the 70's, $45-60!!! I've asked around, and apparently all the suburban GW's in our area price high for the "cool kids"....

Just think of all of the roads there are...all of the things I haven't seen....yet.

Well, everyone's finding things these days!

I went yesterday and got:
1. Some neat note book like thingys like the score keeping ones for basebal games that you see in the movies, before the electric ones took over. I'm going to use them in a scrapbooking project that I haven't figured out yet.
2. Material for some projects
3. A ton of cute pillowcases that I'm going to use for their vintage patterned fabric
4. A tea cosy for my tea pot.
5. a bunch of buttons
6. An apron for my new housekeeping job. I'm going to use one of the pillowcases to make a pocket on the front.

Happy thrifting, everyone!
rachel

Cute blog Rachel, I'AM just very sorry for myself that I didn't win the animal rummy card drawing, but I must learn to be happy for others. That was a fun thing for you to do.
Good job thrifting, its a good day when you can find buttons, seems like they are not around as much as they once were. People out there must be turning into collectors. Kind of scary.
