My turn signal keeps going out. Hubby can change it but why. I like getting my hands dirty now and then went to You Tube and watched this video. I had already picked up replacement bulbs. Ask the tech how hard is it to change them. He said not that hard, your husband can do it in a minute or two. I told him I don't need a man I need tech advice. He smiled and I didn't hit him.
I got the hood opened (haha) and unscrewed the bolts. Did have to ask Hubby to help get the light housing out. Even he had a hard time. I unplugged the electrical connection to the housing. Located the malfunctioning light bulb. It was amber the other two are clear (duh). Made the switch put back the plug to the light, put back the plug to the connection. Allowed Hubby to keep his manhood by putting back the housing. I then righty tightied to snug with a 10mm socket wrench and let Hubby have his tools back. Tested my worked then went in and washed and lotioned my hands. Now I am sitting here with a big DIY smile telling y'all about it.
Nice! I took auto mechanics in school and loved every second of it. I still enjoy fixing things. It's a nice sense of accomplishment, isn't it? One time, I fixed our washing machine after finding the service code decoded on YouTube. Score one for me! haha
Thanks Gals After getting ripped off by an auto shop years ago I bought a book on the subject and made myself educated. Now when I have to take my car in I know enough to speak with them and they know I can intelligently question them if I need to.
