Just got back from the thrift store a bit ago, posted a picture. Also got about six really cute tops and they all fit, I didn't post those.
Still really cold out, we have about two feet of snow, all that snow they talk about on the news is about two hours from here. Hope it doesn't come this way.

Tasha,
Isn't that a beauty, very witch-E.I'am going to hang it on a small hook in my bedroom with a few strings of beads. Now here I go to do just that.

Hi Nancy,
I saw your pictures of your big finds and they all look great. I dont get a chance to often to go thrift store shopping. You can find some neat stuff there. We should start a thrift store swap? Just an idea. have a great day, Allison

MB,
There was no violence with the shawl, but I sure could have become violent at the thrift store. I was getting there about 10 min. later then I usually do and there was a lady near the purses, and what does she have in her hand, that should be mine? a beautiful old beaded bag. now we all know I collect those and don't want anyone at the thrift store to get them but me, but I guess this lady didn't know that, so I missed out on that. But I'am OK, so not to worry.
Allison, thanks for stopping by my blog and welcome to this crazy place.

Nancy JO, TGIF for YOU for sure!!! I have never seen so much quality stuff from a thrift store as what I ogle on your blog.... truly amazing; I'd have distracted that chick somehow and got the beaded bag away from her. Good haul, though; nobody scores more than you except NBA players! Nance

Nancy,
Popped over to your blog...MY GOODNESS you've been busy! I think the chocolate set is my favorite, and the photo of your Momma-such a beauty!
Thrifting around here has slowed a bit. The ladies at my favorite place tell me that donations are down. Maybe it's the weather. Very cold but "only" six inches of snow here. I found a nice pair of jeans today, which I needed. Also two shirts for my youngest son. $3 for everything-keeps us from running nekkid!
I am wondering how often you stop in the thrift shops? I always try to go on Thursdays. It's kinda neat because a group of ladies are always lined up by the door to chat & wait for it to open. I wonder if they are there even when I am not....hmmmm?
Blessings,
Rhonda

Hey Nancy,
you could do a seminar on how to decorate your home on the "cheap" with thrift and garage sale finds!
I love all those neat things you find..they really have charm and add that "welcoming" feel to your home.
You go girl!

I love the things you found! I'm a member of the Red Hat Society, and my "royal" title is The Baroness of Bargains, because I'm a thrifty gal myself. Tough one on the beaded bag! I know how that feels... although usually I GET what I want.

Hi Girls,
Rhonda, nice to hear from you again, I go to the thrift store on average of once a week, sometimes twice. But the thing with these kinds of stores is they put new stuff out all the time, even while I'am there they are bringing stuff out. So you really could go back later the same day and find more things.
Aunt George, its an AMVET thrift store, I also go sometimes to a salvation army one, but that isn't as close. Then there are two other ones that my daughter and I go to once in a while. One is real cute it is run by two older ladies. The AMVET one is the one, especially in the winter that I go to every week. Then when summer comes its garage sales.
Sheila, would love to see the shawls you make, how many have you made?
Rachel, I just saw some red hat things at the thrift store yesterday, What do you girls do?
Shelle, don't quit work, but do go on the weekends if you can, several times to make up for not going during the week.
Tina, thank you for your nice comments, I love playing house.
Nance, I depend on you to search out all the bargains in France and send them to me for safe keeping, I promise to give them back when you come back in the spring.

Ok, Nancy Jo, you're ON, gal pal! But, here's an idea... Why don't you just send your treasures over here for a little R&R???? You know they have to be exhausted being in the spotlight 24/7... and that way our stuff can wave at each other coming and going! Nance
