I am intrigued with flying,,,, and if I were younger I, I'd venture out and learn to fly..
I took this photo from my window during the flight over Portland, OR. Awesome!

I did ground school and a few hours in the air too. But couldn't steal enough from the grocery money to finish. Boo hoo. Hope you get to do it Grace.

I am not a fan a flying and I can count the times I have flown on one hand! The smaller the plane the worse I panic! Hopefully you can learn to fly some day! Dream big!

I flew to California once. It was okay, I didn't have a window seat.

On commuter flights to and from CA to WA...I always try to purchase a seat in the last row and by the window. When I am flying to and from the USA to Germany I search out the seats with in a row or 2 near the back... so I can stand a bit with out having to walk up and down the rows.

Hi Grace, I have always had a fear of flying. However, as soon as I was "pilot in command" that all changed!! My fear was based on trusting someone I did not know with my life. I know me and I trust me! LOL!! Looking forward to some fall flying very soon. The colors will be spectacular from the air.

I was able to go up in a glider with my 81 year old neighbor who was the pilot. He also flew planes made for just one person, did scuba diving, had a jet ski and traveled the world to do his diving. He didn't start diving until he was 70. Grass didn't grow under his feet. Your are never to old to what ever you want.

I was on a plane one time - when my Mom was pregnant with me in 1972 - and it was a Propeller plane flying back to Camp LeJeune (where I was born). I am a firm believer that if I was meant to fly, I would have been born with wings. It isn't a fear of flying - it is a fear of heights . . . I panic on the second step of a ladder!

LOL!! I felt the same way. However, it is a small plane, I am at the controls and it is so different. It's hard to explain. Looking forward to our airport opening back up soon so I can get back at it. (they are redoing our runway. . . a new runway!! Yay!!)
