Hi, I wondered if anyone could help me find a primitive embroidery alphabet pattern? Alot of what I've seen reminds me of my 5yo handwriting! Maybe she can make my pattern! All kidding aside, I'd be grateful for any help! Thanks, Daisy

Daisy- What about checking all of your font capabilities for the type of lettering you are looking for? Once you find it , it will be easy to enlarge or decrease. Have you googled "vintage alphabets"?
If you know the era that would probably help too.

I think the VERY best can be found at:

http://www.scarlet-letter.com/

They are somewhat pricey, but will certainly give you some great ideas. Now if you want more country primitive there is a font called "starry night" that a lot of folks use. If you give me a more specific idea what you are looking for I might be able to help.
Oh Daisy...just noticed you are in NW Indiana! Me too! I'm a primitive artist...send me a PM if you'd like to chat!

Daisy,
I just finished a vintage style sampler in memory of my grandmother and great aunt. I'd post a picture if I knew how! I used alphabet charts from Piecework magazine, and also form needlework books with reproduction samplers. I also live in Northwest Indiana! I"d be glad to share my sources and talk about crafting.

Frannie, Starry Night is a font that is included on many programs. Look though any font style lists you have on your email or other programs first. If you don't find it listed there you can download it online. I pretty much gutted my computer when I went from Windows98 to XP...so I don't have it anymore. I just searched & found a free download online.
It's a font you would like Frannie, funny, crooked lettering with little stars sprinkled above the letters here & there.
