Hi! I'm so glad I've found this site. Lots of great information for the cottage farm I hope to have one day - and maybe not too far into the future. I want bees and chickens at least, maybe goats? Unfortunately, at the moment I live in Cambridge, MA in an apartment that doesn't even have a yard (oh, how I miss my old apartment with the big garden). So, in the meantime, I am reading a lot and improving my skills at canning (with farmers' market produce), pickle-making, knitting and other such. I also have a webzine devoted to food and farms in New England called www.newenglandgrown.com. Let's see - I used to be a pastry cook, and now I'm an assistant pollster. I have two Siamese cats and a fish tank. My favorite place on earth is Downeast Maine, but I might also like to live in Western Massachusetts or Vermont, because I would be closer to friends and family. Land's a lot cheaper in Maine, though. Anyway, I'm happy to join your group. Thanks!

Kathleen Welcome
I just love your site. I raise organic/grass fed only animals and produce their fiber into what I think are great things. I love that someone such as yourself has such a great dream. This group will help you reach it - share as much as you can for that is how dreams come true. Excited to have you here.
