Does anyone know what to do for that bad muscle soreness that happens when you workout longer and harder than usual? (Delayed muscle soreness?) Any herbs etc? My legs are so sore I feel like they are going to fall off! |

Drink alot of water. Still remain active, not heavy activity, but some light aerobics or walking. That will get the blood flowing good into you muscles. Also vitamin C may help. Do some gentle massaging of the muscles. And make sure you do some stretching. Stretching is so important, and make sure when you stretch that you do not bounce. Just gently ease into the stretches and hold for a count of ten. Before you start any workout, do a warmup to get your muscles ready (walk for 5-10 minutes) and make sure you stretch before and after.
Life isn't measured by how many breaths you take, but by how many moments take your breath away. |

Good advice, Lilpunkin. Drink LOTS of water and do the slow stretches. If you have shin splints walking backwards fast really works. MBwww.strawberryhillsfarm.blogspot.com www.day4plus.blogspot.com "Life may not be the party we hoped for...but while we are here we might as well dance!" |

a nice soak in epsom salt bath is supposed to be good for sore bodies.

Don't workout! :) Just kidding! Actually they say that as long as it is "moderate" muscle soreness (not an INJURY) that continuing to work out will help ease the pain. But who are "they" anyway!

A hot bath always helps me, and some extra vitamin e. I don't know if the "e" really helps or not, but one of the teachers at work swears by at, so I always take a little extra after skiing. Jennifer |
