I volunteer at a nature reserve near my home. Each summer they have an art show to raise financial support for the elementary grade program " No child left inside".
Tonight was this season's opening night. It is really cool to see the work of local artists and craftsmen. On opening night the artists are present and they have musicians, wine and food.
I actually. got to play with the band a little. They had a trio playing Flamenco music. One of them had a set of castanedas. When they took a small break I talked with the man with the castanedas. I told him how I play them in my car going to work. He chuckled and handed them to me. They started to play and told me to jump in. I did ok I think but had great fun. Haven't played in front of an audience in a couple of decades. I think I need to find a music Meetup in my area.
Nancy what a fun evening you had. I've heard of people singing in the shower but never playing castanets in the car - you go girl. Now you have found your public musical side again I hope you find a group to join.

Sounds so incredibly awesome! I, myself, would have "froze" with fear. I like the idea of castanets in the car - would be a great stress reliever in traffic.

Just don't let law enforcement catch you. I read an article where a man got a ticket for eating a burger while driving in Georgia. A friend of mine told me a story of her friend. He was rockin' out to his tunes. When he stopped at a red light while waiting for the green he was tapping the rhythm really gettin' into. He got pulled over and was cited. The officer said he had been watching and felt the man couldn't be paying attention fully and have him a ticket for distracted driving.
Nancy, that's my kind of evening, MUSIC!!!!! Sounds like you had a great time. Marly
