Call me crazy, but I'm already thinking about Christmas... I absolutely LOVE Christmas - it is such a wondrous time of the year, full of hope and promises, love and good cheer! So I decided why not have a Christmas in July swap... I wanted to give everyone plenty of time to get your boxes ready... Basically my thought process is to share some Christmas joy in July.
Sign ups will end June 30th Partners posted by July 2nd Mail out by July 15th

Great Idea! When I ran a playground program we always did a Christmas in July week.
Count me in!!!

Hi. I think I would like to try this Swap! I am rather new to the swaps, and have only participated in maybe two or three, so I am not familiar with what all would be involved in this particular one. But, it sounds like it might be something I would like to do. Thanks! |

I am a brand new Farmgirl (about a week now) and would really love to be involved in this swap, as Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year (and I just mentioned to my husband yesterday "is it time to put the trees up yet?". Hope I can be included! Just let me know what I need to do!!!

Cyndie - welcome to "the Farm"! Glad you are joining in! You can absolutely join in our Christmas in July swap! If you look at past swaps, you can get an idea of what generally a swap consist of. Everyone does it a little different... but here is what I normally do... and if anyone else wants to chime in, please do so! Generally speaking I send a medium size flat rate priority mail box. Often, I start something homemade right away... As soon as I get my partner, I send them an email with my address (you can click on the persons user name in red, and it will bring up their information, and there is a place where it says "click to send an email"), asking for their address and asking for information about them, such as hobbies, favorite colors, collections, and since it is for Christmas, I'll ask about what they decorate with as well. Then I have fun filling the box based on their information and things I have made, and send it by the deadline. Does that make sense???

Shannon...thought I would chime in here, too. That was great information you gave Cyndie about Swaps! I am still a newbie...as I have only participated in two or three swaps since I joined. Your suggestions were helpful to me, as well. THANKS!, |

Thanks Beverly <3 Not everyone sends a flat rate priority box, so don't think you have to send that much! I was just giving an example of how I normally do it :) And part of it depends on the swap as well. For example, the pennant was that Sarah coordinates every few months generally consists of a pennant and something small, often called a "tuck" though by no means are tucks required. A tuck is often times something smaller, such as a dishcloth, or teas. Or if you know the person you are swapping with pretty well, something they are interested in, such as stickers, ribbons, material, etc.

I 've thought and thought about this. I want to do it.......but my hesitation is due to this dental work. This first round is pretty rough. I have three or four more rounds. Soooo, put my name in the pot please, Shannon. Hopefully I can make and collect my things before the end of June. Thanks for being out hostess.

Contacted Bev and already heard back from her - you couldn't have put two better people together - it is like we are the same woman with our likes and skills! Thank you so much!
