Who remembers these???
I actually have an un-cut panel for a flocked 1/2 apron... I just can't bring myself to cut and assemble it... I remember the stuffed toys and deco item we could by, at the fabric counter,,, usually by the panel.. I didn't know you could by pillow case panels to cut & sew.. I remember using the plastic hoops for make shift aprons when I was in Home-Ec. we put the hoop around our waist and draped a flour sack cloth towel over the hoop. Oh how I wish these were still around...

I have a panel or two in my stash right now! One is for a thingie that you hang on the wall to hold all your sewing tools -- scissors, pins, etc. It has a measuring tape printed on it as the binding, if I recall.
When my DD was little, my MIL brought home 2 panels from the dime store fabric counter where she worked -- one was a little brown dog and the other was a pink cat. She sewed up the brown dog, who became "Taco," and I sewed up the pink cat, who became "Kitty." (Okay, we weren't that creative there!!!) Taco was sweet and much loved, but Kitty was a must for sleeping or snuggling or travel in the car or going ANYWHERE. Of course, Kitty had to be laundered from time to time, and eventually we had a laundry disaster -- Kitty went into the washing machine alright, but came out with most of her stuffing stuck to the tub of the machine and a huge worn-through hole in her middle!!! Panic began to set in at our house. Luckily, Grandma to the rescue!!! She brought home 3 or 4 panels of "Kitty," so we were never without. If I could find that fabric panel today, I would stitch one right up and give it to my daughter as a gift -- she would cry her eyes out for a while and then go take a nap.

I posted a new topic to see if anyone happened to have a panel for the pink kitty in their stash. I would love to make another one for my daughter. I found a couple of them on e-***, but they want $75 and $80!!!!!

I wish I had a kitty to give you. I remember all of those panels. I still have the well-worn Charlie Brown doll I made for our son. Plus a few others. Believe it or not you can still find panels for making things.
