Daizy, when we had a dairy, a hungry hollow legged teenage son, and I was teaching...I found a laundry in town that would wash, dry, fold and hang our laundry. It was a God send! I gladly paid those nice folks for doing some of my work. And my washer and dryer got to rest a bit.

Marilyn - there is a laundromat in Greenville that will do this, I think.

When life gets so busy that it is overwhelming...some one to do the laundry is a great idea in my opinion. I lived twenty miles from town so buying meals out did not work, but it was so nice to pick up clean clothes, especially in cold muddy weather was sure nice. I made two trips a week to drop off dirty and pick up clean. .lots of coveralls and long John's, socks, caps and gloves, as well as regular laundry.

Hay there.

That would be awesome, Mz Marilyn. But the troubled with that is I don't go the same town each week. I would run out of clothes before I got a chance to return to pick them up! What a great idea tho. I try to go east one week and then west the next week but sometimes I don't get away for several weeks. Each location has different types of stores so it saves me money to go to each of the towns. They are about 20 minutes away for each. Several years ago, when the last little was able to drive himself, I purchased enough clothes for about two weeks so I wouldn't be stuck wearing dirty clothes before I got a chance to wash. I hang clothes on the line or all around the house to save on elec. bill. I have about worked out all the kinks.....but it would be a dream to have someone else do it all....and then come put it all away!!!

Hugs and prayers, Daizy #1093

Wash, fluff & fold & put away.... oh how I would luv it! (Laundry)

Linda is out camping (lucky ducky-wish I were).... so she probably will be on the forum minimally ...

So when she gets back she will drool over all of the western minis (literally) and then mail them out. Lolol!

Don't forget swap #5 is up....and it is a Animal theme... so think farm or zoo or wild life or pets.....
I already have mine picked out.... now to decide what style I want to make the minis in.... oh decisions, decisions....
:)

Yes Daizy, it means extra clothes and towels. Milking cows is messy. The school boards entertainment at board meetings, was to read the many reasons I was late to school with wet hair in the mornings, during the month. We had a sign in sheet in the office where they met. Thankfully three of the board members also had dairies. The others were farmers. They laughed. (I learned that when you are in the pit and the cows are up higher...if one poops or pees in the barn it goes all over you, clothes, hair and all.)

They have been MAILED to you'all! If there is a problem with delivery, I have tracking numbers, but so far none have taken a side trip - except for the ones to Canada that took a side trip to the Mediterranean. LOL!

Here is a "tickler" picture of the aprons I got in this swap. Several of you sent all the same and a couple made all different. Keep watching your mailboxes for the padded envelope.

Thank you to those who sent tucks: Grace for the "wild" apron and Darlene for the fat quarter (Can you guess what that will be used for?). Tucks are definitely not necessary.

HeeHaw and yippee! So cute! I know what you will use the fabric for! LOL! My patriotic aprons will be in the mail in the morning. I'm keeping the one for me unless there's a reason you want it. What say yea?

Yes, please include your apron, but if it is special for you, just mark it to be for you and you will get it back. I always count the aprons to make sure they are all there.

Ok. I thought you might have a method to your madness! I'll send it. LOL! IAll are pretty much the same. Somewhere I thought someone else didn't send theirs and I thought I missed the memo. Memo to me: pay attention! Yikes!

For the first swap one person did not send their own apron. I commented on that at that time. LOL! With a small number of swappers it is not as important as a large number.

I thought my aprons were going out Monday. However, my normal sweet mail lady wasn't there and the not normal one refused to stamp my return envelope. She said how do I know what's coming back and if the weight is the same! Give me strength! Bite my tongue! Tomorrow my normal one should be back. Linda I put my apron in also! LOL! I'll let you know when they mail out!

Ahhh! Receiv day aprons Yesterday! All of them are sooo cute!!! Now... what to do?

I'm thinking of getting baby dolls and dress them western, add aprons and then use them for the Angel Tree program at Christmas.
I'm such a procrastinator!!!! I'd better get started now!!!

You think THESE are cute? Wait until you see the patriotic ones! They are the Bee's Knees. (Is that the right phrase? LOL! YEP! I looked it up. That means they are "Excellent! The highest quality. However - there are other meanings, too. But I like this one.)
