Well, after a couple of years and alot of road trips around the West, we have found our place.
In fact we will be neighbors to Aunt Jenny!
We found a pretty turn-of-the-century farmhouse that has 5 bedrooms, and a big new(ish) kitchen and family room with a wood burning stove built on the back.
It has a small barn (everyone in that county calls an out-building or barn a grainary??) with a chicken coop attached. And the very best part is the shop for the Knifemaker...it is huge!! It has a big back lot with an aviary and a huge garden spot..and even enough space for a critter or two...
So, we made our offer last week, and the sellers accepted...We met with the Mortgage lender again on Monday and everything is all set to go, we are just waiting to set a date for closing....
This FarmGirl at heart can't wait to get out of the big city!!!
Just wish me luck getting this house ready to sell!! (Who knew that 6 people could collect so much STUFF in 9 nine years!?!?)
Here's to De-Junking...quite cathartic and freeing...

Kate, what wonderful news! Atleast you know you'll like one of your neighbors for sure! Sounds like a great property, I am so happy for you and your family! All the best with the move! Are you feeling up to it? You were pretty sick there for a while. Pace yourself and take help when you can get it! What an adventure you are beginning!

I can hardly wait for Kate and family to get moved down here!!! The house she is getting is just great!! I was lucky enough to get to go through it with them last time they were down here...it is so exciting!!! My kids are excited to have her girls down here too!!

Soo...farmgirls...I have been chuckin' junk left and right, cleaning and preparing to list our home in West Jordan "For Sale"...Boy am I tired!
I am still trying to "recover" from the jaw infection and the resulting sepsis...my docs say it will take at least 4 months, more like 6 or 8 before I get back to normal energy wise.
I was feeling so tired and frazzled, I decided to take a break...SOOOooo..
I went to the DVD store at the mall, and bought my favorite movie of all time...
OUT OF AFRICA
then I went to Michael's and got some yarn...
then I went to the store and bought some yummy treats and tea...
I put my monkey's to bed early last night, told dh to PLEASE leave me alone (apparently he had a date with the XBOX anyhow) And I watched my movie...
Oh man, I cried and cried...it was so good.. OH, how I love that film.
Really, you all should watch it again...it is 22 years old now, and sooo good... so much better than any of the new releases I have seen lately.
OH, and that scene, when they are camping along the river, where he washes her hair while he is reciting poetry to her...can we say "romantic"???
AAAHHH....a quiet night, a long movie, some mindless knitting and some yummy ginger-mint tea...I do feel as though I CAN pack a few boxes today!!
