Hi everyone of you Farm Girls. I was born in a small town and have never felt at home except in the country. The more remote the better. I did the back to earth thing cooking on a wood stove, sitting in an outhouse, gardening and it get smashed by a hail storm, chopping wood, nursing babies, cooking bread from scratch, etc. It was by necessity then, but by choice now. No, I live in a city now, and making the best of it. I container garden and the only animal I have is my cute dog Baby, who follows me everywhere. I bought my daughter "chickenlips" MaryJane's book for christmas and we fell in love with her and found the website and fell in love with yall! We are starting our own group here in east-phoenix valley and so far there is only two of us. But Hey, we were born 'farmgirls'. Talk to you soon. Choctaw Mama.

Hey! Welcome aboard, you two gals! I've been thinking of "joining up" my daughter in Chicago, she'd eat up this kind of stuff. She's a baker amd a sewer, cook, and gardens - one hill of rhubarb, but that rhubarb came from her now deceased grandma, she does gobs with it. Hmm, I may as well join up my daughter in Alaska, too, she also is an everything and gardens as well, TWO hills of rhubarb, same source! Plus she and her hubby are building a steelhulled 47 foot ocean going research vessel. Yup, you'll like it here - there's lots of fun and good stuff to hear. Sis Lucy
May the good Lord take a likin' to ya! |
