Yes Michele. If the project has been nagging you to get it done and you cannot possibly ignore it anymore, it is a UFO. Perhaps one of the UFO Finishers on this forum can help you figure out the pattern. Tell us about it and we will help you through it.

Linda - where did you find the pattern for the dish drainer quilts? I absolutely LOVE those and am thinking I "need" to make one for my kitchen! Hmmmm and maybe as gifts for Christmas!

I didn't realize that projects we have been wanting to do are also UFOs, if we hadn't started them. :( Guess I have a lot more than I thought. Time to get busy... after school anyways :)

I say, if you have gathered the pattern and materials or just have it in your mind, it is a UFO.

Oh - while I am thinking about it, though, that means I did get another UFO done... I had been wanting to go through my recipes, get rid of the ones we aren't ever going to eat, and organize them into a notebook. I did this as well as fulfilling the requirements of the recipe merit badge. Here is my binder...

Shannon -
Here is the link for the dish drainer quilt. I will have 4 of them when I get my two more UFOs done. I love them.

Agreed, Marie. I have so many projects that I have started, have bought all supplies for, have patterns in TO-DO file, have fabrics, but not found the right pattern yet, etc. - they are all UFOs. LOL!

Great binder, Shannon. My mother had a drawer full of recipes she'd cut out or been given. One year she put them ALL into a notebook, had category tabs, copied it and gave one to me and my sister. I love it. She also did an entire notebook of cookie recipes, and she did a double index - of the type of cookie (foreign, ice box, rolled, etc.) and alphabetically by name. I use the cookie book all the time. Maybe too much. LOL!

I guess I need to add dish drainer quilts to my UFO's. I was gifted some Christmas material and wondering what to do with it. The mother and daughter who gave me the fabric would LOVE a Christmas themed one!

Those dish drainer quilts are adorable! I'd seen one in MJF's magazine at one point...thank you for the directions!!!
Shannon, I love your binder!
So...if that is the definition of UFO....hhhhmmmm.....I am going to have to add a few more things to my list! But this is inspiring me to see how much I can get done this year!

My UFO list increased over the weekend. We had a baby due in the family. I had gathered some fabric, knew the design and thought I had until March, so it was down the list. Dang, the little one showed up this weekend. Very nervous first-time parents but the good news--she's breathing on her own and is a beautiful little fighter. I quickly cut out the fabric and started madly sewing yesterday. Hope to finish today and will get quilting on it very soon. Then back to project 1....so goes life. Will share photo when done. Her name is Lucy Rey. Lucy after a relative and Rey from Star Wars, female lead in The Force Awakens. Love it!

Congratulations, Sylvia, on the granddaughter. I'm sure we will see a lot of Star Wars character names on babies this year. LOL! Names tend to be popular based on a movie, actor/actress, singer, or song that is popular.
