Hi Lenora... If you mean were they hard on my fingers to make? Not at all. There are different kinds of tule as I found. I used matte tule and they were quite easy to make.

Yes, Nancy, that was what I was asking. I'll look for matte tule. Thanks.

Has anyone else thrown their UFO list gone out the window? Okay, not completely out the window but I have a few upcoming projects that I need to deal with first...like Easter for the family, Peter Cottontail exchange for MJF and I am falling behind with my fabric swap projects. All while working and trying to plan my garden 2017. It is going to be a busy spring!

I have finally picked up my scarf project again. Got the main body of it done, now to do the edging. Things do come up inbetween, that i do craft, but i know have have these couple projects that i really want to get done this year. When you make things yourself, other projects will always come up. I also have a small list of new projects i want to start.....keeps us out of trouble i guess. lol

I finally got around to making my UFO listing. Not as bad as I thought. I only have 14 items that I started over the last 5 years or so to complete. Most of them are sewing some new clothes for myself, a quilt, large Christmas stocking, a Christmas banner, and two lap blankets for us. I hope to get started on them tomorrow at the very latest.

Sounds like a great list, Becky, and definitely do-able. My list is never ending, it seems. I have so much stash, lots of swap squares, lots of patterns (many I will never use), and no time lately do work on much. And I keep joining more swaps. LOL! I'm crazy, right?

I was able to complete two more UFOS this weekend and start on the next. I had a productive weekend. Hopefully that stays around for awhile!

Linda, I have swap squares also. I did not included them in my UFO's as I am not sure what I am going to make at this point. I like you would be signing up for more swaps, but need to hold off until after my surgery later this month. I have one swap that is all year long so should be doable for me don't you think.

I took 2 UFO projects with me on my recent trip down south to my mother's home... 7 days and not once did I open my UFO bag!!!

Everyone has been so busy and productive while I have been sitting around waiting for the cold to go away.

Michelle - That scarf is absolutely gorgeous.

I'll be catching up on the emoticons soon.

Great job Michele! Your scarf is beautiful & the fact that it is your very own wool from Jack makes it even more special. Good luck on getting your stocking done for your granddaughter. I'm sure it will be beautiful too. I can't wait to see the picture of it when you finish.

It feels so special to make something out of your own yarn. What type of sheep do you raise? We used to have Dorsets and Jacobs and I still have quite a bit of wool left. Beautiful work Michele.

I just finished what was probably my first quilt, one of the oldest UFO projects, and, I must admit, not made with all 100% cotton fabrics. This is definitely apparent in the backing and border fabrics because they are raveling at the edges very badly. It was hard sewing the binding on because of this raveling. I completed the top of this quilt in the mid 1980's, had it long-arm quilted last year, and sewed on the binding this morning. It is the Attic Window pattern. The fabrics came from my leftover clothing fabrics, my mother's scraps, and a girlfriend who, like me, sewed a lot of her clothes.

It is probably a queen size quilt. I'm so glad it is finished now.
