I wanted to do a crafty swap series which could be built on over a few months and could combine the work of multiple farmgirls in one piece... thus the pennant banner swap idea.
For this swap, each farmgirl signed up will make one tringle banner piece for one partner. These could be displayed individually, or they can be assembled to make a farmgirl banner over time. To keep the pieces similarly sized, I will send each participant a template for the triangle. Please send me an email when you sign up so I can respond with the template.

Christy, to clarify - yes, 1 partner per month, and we will do 5 or 6 swaps (one per month) each with a different partner. The monthly pennants can be displayed on their own if you just want to do one swap, or you can connect them each month to make a banner. I didn't really pick a theme, the sky is the limit.

Joyce, I think that would be a good way to do it, or a button hole, or just a hole. You can use any medium you like, what I plan to do is make my chipboard pennant with a hole on each top corner then tie two pieces together so it can be hung by itself or so it can be untied at the top and connected to the next.
I tried to hide the details on the one I am working on in these pics, but here is what I mean for the ties:

But then it can be untied to connect to another one:
