I love making an annual Mary Jane's Farmgirl Christmas Stocking. I decided it was time to get started on my stocking this year and make it a swap.

Here are the Swap Guidelines:

1. Either Make or Buy an 18-24 inch Christmas Stocking and embellish it.

2. When you sign up for this swap, please state your preference of Religious, Traditional, or Both or indicate the main colors in your holiday decorating.

3. List 6 items that you collect or would like to receive in your stocking. Each Partner will need to purchase or make at least 4 of those items; and then you can include whatever extras you wish.

4. Each gift is to be individually wrapped and put in the stocking.

5. Please also enclose a Christmas Card for your Partner.

6. Sign-Ups will begin Now and will go until Nov.30th.

Partners will be posted on December 1st. The package should be mailed out by December 15th.

When the Stocking has been received, post a picture for all of us to enjoy.

Let's all have fun with this one.

I did the pairing a little differently because there were an odd number of participants. So the deal is the one on the giver side of the list gives to the one on the recipient side of the list.

I have no preference for a religious or traditional stocking. I do like to decorate with blue, white and silver and no Santa, elf or reindeer.

Six Gifts:#8239: Handkerchiefs, Pretty pen, Nice notecards, Dinosaurs (models, drawings or fiber art; nothing overly cartoonish), sewing tool, Tea, Small notepad or notebook.

Hi Marie,
This is one of my favorite swaps. Please count me in. I have no preference, love both Religious and Traditional. Don't have particular colors but love the old fashion Christmas look.

Love pixie knee hugger elves
Scrapbook items
Willow Tree
Handmade or repurposed items
Honey Bee anything
Love seasonal dish drain quilts

I was asking Marie if we could post here whether people would prefer to get what is on their list or just be surprised. So let us know when you sign up what your thoughts are.

I am signing up but I have no real preferences.. This will be my 4th year with this swap and each year has been so much fun. The part I love most is being totally surprised! Farmgirls are so creative and make the best stockings for Christmas!!

I had a question about the wish lists. A farmgirl wanted to know if we all have to be committed to getting someone what is on their list. I have always approached this as a list of suggestions and if I cannot make or buy something on the list, I contact my partner for other ideas. How does everyone else view getting exactly what is on your wish list?

I think either way is fine. Surprises from farmgirls are spectacular and lovely to receive. But I think it's neat to add to a farmgirls collection if possible, so that makes it fun to know.

I'm in. This is my third or fourth year. I love getting this swap. I have no preference on religious or traditional. I love chickens, rustic/primitive/country decorations, tea, handmade items, homesteading, or just surprise me.

Hi Marie,

Please sign me up for this! I've been looking forwards to this swap for weeks and was hoping that someone was going to host it again. This will be my seventh year participating in this swap and I do believe that it is my favorite swap of them all! I love both traditional and religious and will be happy with anything. Some things that I do like...

Santa's
Snowmen
I collect Lemax village pieces
Chocolate
Elves
And I love anything vintage or Victorian. I am history nut so I love anything old.

Thank you again for hosting this! I am looking so forwards to filling my stocking!

Hugs,
Marcy

Please sign me up. I'm happy with either traditional or religious. I'm happy with surprises or sheep, country, homesteading, chickens, flowers, needlework, tea.

This should be a lot of fun.

Thanks,

Sign me up! I love the traditional look, but I love being surprised!

I collect dachshunds, old-school silver charms, blown glass puffed heart ornaments, vintage cats eye sunglasses, orphan dishes for repurposing, things with paisley patterns, lusterware, little trinket boxes, pretty notecards, and I love anything with almonds in it and floral soaps and lotions, and surprises!

Living in Florida, I miss the Northern winters, even the snow!

Sign me up! This will be my first swap, but I am soooooo excited.

I tend to radiate towards traditional when decorating, and I use red and gold.

Some of the things I would like could include magazines (vintage style, greencraft, homesteading), chocolate, honey bee anything, candles, heirloom seeds, or cute socks. In my spare time, I also do a bit of gardening and occasionally crocheting.
