 We've had a few nights of high winds, and now the leaves are all over the yard. Autumn has come in all its 1970s colors.

We got a bit of icy snow Thursday, and school was cancelled. Today school is an hour late. Our dogs are getting used to it, and I've decreed that we enter through the sunroom, to keep heat in.

6 humans, 7 dogs, 1 cat. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are now all replete (maybe even crapulous). This is how the table looked before we set out food. I wanted to use all the nice serving dishes because life is short.

 Saturday was the local Christmas parade. It was cold and rainy, but there were brave souls on the floats and in the crowd.

We are getting bamboo flooring in the living room and hallway, then a bit later in the bedrooms. All this because of a little dog who hates to go outside!

I have two little dogs that don't like to go outside and so my wood floors need refinished. I have closed off the rooms I can and keep papers by the front door. It works!. Love the look of your new floor.

I hated vacuuming so much when I was a kid. I ONLY have hardwood floors now.

  99.9% done! We just need baseboard and a transition installed. Now I'll get a Swifter.
Now we have to put all our stuff back!

These floors are absolutely beautiful! You have shown me that I must start on refinishing mine as they have been down for twenty years. And yes I will do the work all by my lonesome. I love the look of these.

Easy as pie! I made pumpkin and a butterscotch meringue pies. Now I'm taking a plate of chocolate chip cookies to our neighbor.

Merry Christmas to you and yours. These pies look so good---I was too lazy to make a pie---making an apple crisp in the crock pot instead. Too bad I'm not your neighbor as those cookies sound good too.

Today is cold and windy, so I've spent it indoors vacuuming and quilting. I was sitting on a kitchen chair which hurt my back, so I moved my comfy chair back into the Seattle Slew room.

My sweetie decided to bury the slate from the pool table to slow down the rain run off down the slope. It was a muddy mess!

Thank goodness for insurance! We bought the fence at Lowe's, so it isn't too expensive but the hard part was painting it white.
I think I'll save the tall spikes for repurposing.

I am so excited! My Christmas cactus has put out pink buds. My mom sent them a few months ago from my grandmother's plant. I am so happy its doing well.

Hooray and hallelujah! We finished spray painting all the fence panels, uprights, and new gates. We did half of them Friday as soon as I got home until dark, then today after church till right now. As always I am happy to report that we are still married, although He grumbled that if the fence gets wrecked again, we will not paint it. After a few days we'll plant all the fence pieces and it will be as good as new.
