For me, it isn't spring until the lilacs bloom.

Those are beautiful! My lilacs are just starting to open their leaves a bit. I think we are two weeks out from blooms

My sweetie and I will be hosting two foreign students next year. We already know that they will be girls, one from Germany and the other from Finland. Unfortunately I'll have to give up my craft room. I've cleared off my "shelf of stuff" and moved my vanity to the master bedroom. Thankfully, I'll have plenty of time to clean out the closet, which is full of my fabric.

On the plus side, it's an opportunity to clear out trash and donate stuff to our local thrift store.

Mr. Grumpy and I are at another Red's game. It's a bit chilly, so I'm bundled up.

Those were Brussel sprouts. I also put in rhubarb (a long term investment for my sweetie).

Began the day with pain. While walking the hounds, Rose lunged, pulling me on my knees, which got skinned (I was wearing shorts too). I whined and hobbled the short distance home. It was amazing how shook up I felt, like being in shock. My legs are taking it easy for a while. They need to be in top form for "Art in the Garden" this Saturday.

There is just something about knees! I think because they support, well, basically most of our body, any amount of trauma to them really feels huge.Do give them a rest.

When asked “How are you?”, I reply, “Better than good!”

For Father's Day, I volunteered to bring cinnamon rolls to church. I'm very pleased with how they turned out. The rolls were made last night and rose in the oven. Then they were topped with cream cheese frosting.

Cinnamin rolls are the best. I remember when Grandma made hers and they were so big.

Luckily, I took none of them home. Also luckily, I still have 1/4 of the dough, rolled, filled, cut and frozen, for when I'd like a fresh cinnamon roll.

I had a cinnamon roll yesterday for dinner - warmed and slathered with butter. Some good!
