Oh my goodness. I have such a happy heart. My niece was here! She arrived Friday, and left last night. Good thing, as today we got a wee bit o' early snow.

My niece lives in Texas and is a newlywed, just married a year and a half. Oh my they are the cutest couple ever! The two of them are just precious. The last time she was here, she was 12 years old! She's now a beautiful, sweet 28 year old. We've been planning her trip up for so long, and I feel so blessed that they chose to spend their vacation with me (and to spend so much as a young couple on plane tickets).

Auntie played tour guide (I loved every minute) and I am a bit pooped. Friday drove an 1 1/2 hours each way to the airport. Saturday we went to the living New England museum, Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. Sunday to NYC. Monday to Kent, CT. Tuesday to New York to Hyde Park. We ate at the Culinary Institute of America (Oh My I can still taste those truffle fries...HEAVEN on a plate!) and to visit the FDR House and Presidential library. Wednesday showed them my hometown and then back to the airport. I miss them so much! I also taught my niece how to knit. I am so proud of the wonderful woman she has become.

I am so happy. Miss my family so much! After twenty+ years I still get homesick!

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

Nicole this is so sweet, I know how you feel. Just came back from Alabama for my nephew's wedding. What a beautiful country outdoor wedding that was. It's hard living far from family but it sure is nice when you can visit.

Love you story

Nicole, how sweet. You sure did a lot while they were with you. No wonder you're pooped! Happy dance!

Nicole, what a fun family reunion for you! I'm glad they came and visited and you all had so much fun. I bet you were a wonderful tour guide. I would love to visit all those places.
