Ladies, I finally made it to the PO for some stamps and mailed my fabrics. I used several prints, because last year I purchased a bunch of different one yard cuts...

Marilyn, it doesn't matter if all the fabric is the same to all of us. How would we know? We only have to send 2 different squares to everyone so don't worry. How's Hadlee doing? Is she enjoying her classes? Get your perm yet?

Darlene, no perm yet. Probably the week of Thanksgiving. We will both be off, and at home. Hadlee is enjoying her school. Learning a lot and anxious to work on clients after Christmas.

Hi everyone!
Received the Christmas blocks from Tina, Beverly, Marti, Christy, Mary, Rebecca, Sherry, Linda, Angie, Darlene, and Cristy! Wow! It DOES feel like Christmas. I'm running late. Plan to have mine out by Tuesday. All are addressed and stamped, just need to cut, stuff and mail. Heading to the studio to do that now. Sew much fun!

Hay there.
I didn't receive my order today....I was hoping it would arrive so I could cut and send. I just feel awful.....maybe it will be delivered tomorrow.

Hi there, I have received fabric from Linda, Beverly ( with cute add ins) Darlene, Mary, Cristy, Rebecca, Marty, Sherry, and Tina. I also have Christmas stickers and Gingerbread Recipe and loving the fabrics. Already have the design in mind for this quilt.

Today there was a rapid bunch of knocks on the door from the utility room into the kitchen. My husband had just left, but I got up to see what he wanted. As I opened the door, TRICK OR TREAT! Was called out by a wild critter. It was Hadlee. They had done face painting, for the public, for free today at the beauty school. They had painted each other first. Pretty amazing.

Cute face painting! I received more fabric today from Rebecca, Denise, and Marilyn! My kids watch the mail every day and get so excited to bring me the mail. I'm gonna miss not getting fun mail after this is done. I'll just get busy quilting!

Love these squares swaps. I'm thinking of some different swaps. Let me know via email what you think about swaps for "bricks" (4-1/2" x 6-1/2"), 5" squares, 9-patch blocks, simple scrappy pieced blocks, and 12" or 6-1/2" flannel squares for rag quilts? Some of these would require those interested to commit to several months over which blocks or pieces would have to be sent to those who participate.
Here is one possible block: http://www.mccallsquilting.com/patterns/details.html?idx=209
but for this pattern the blocks would be 6-1/2" x 6-1/2", not 4-1/2" as printed.
Here is a picture of my quilt made with these blocks from another long ago swap.

Linda, I gave a friend some bricks. I had seen them on an Australian web site. I cut some ten inch squares and cut them in half, put them on a cardboard, stacked neatly and tied a pretty bow around them. She was excited, and quickly found some ideas to use them. Her husband is a brick collector. I use a lot of charm packs...5" squares.

I would be interested in 5" - 6-1/2" and 12-1/2" blocks. No flannel or monthly commitments for me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL!
