Took a long needed break this afternoon and picked a bundle of my favorite perennial....New England Purple Asters.

What is your favorite Autumn flower?

Melody, your purple asters are beautiful. I don't think I have a favorite autumn flower. My yellow lantanas are in full bloom and so pretty.

Not too many flowers in bloom now, but my Russian sage is still in bloom with it's purple flowers and I DO like it . . . and it's fragrance!

I took a picture of this Japanese anemone at the Morton Arboretum. I thought it was beautiful!

I love spider lilies in the fall. My part of Texas has had ample rains this summer for these beauties to shine everywhere. I removed two flower beds last year. Apparently I didn't get all the bulbs removed. These spider lilies came up in what is now part of my yard..

Such beautiful flowers! Thanks for sharing.

It's really cooling off here tonight, I think flowers are going to be fading out quick here.

Sarah,
Our flowers are pretty much done. I do still have a few snapdragons along the deck, but that's about it aside from the Russian sage.
We have a freeze warning for tonight, so I picked the rest of my peppers and covered the tomato plants. I'm NOT ready for winter . . or cold!

I didn't realize it would continue to bloom this late, but I'm still really enjoying my dahlias.

I took all these flower pictures last weekend (and many many many more). We still have
so much in bloom here on the West Coast. But my Favorite hands down are the Pansies.

Love and Smiles,
Peggy
