Jami - thank you so much for the wonderful chicken themed pocket book with friendship quotes on the tags inside each pocket! I love it....and what a creative way to re-use toilet paper rolls! I will also enjoy the rubber stamp which will come in handy for card making. Thanks for being a great friend!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Oh! I'm so glad to come home and see that you all are still out there!!

I went to the mountains for an end of the summer camping get away on Thursday. But before I left I checked my mailbox, because some criminals have been removing mail from neighbors' boxes and have left it strewn, torn open, along my road.
Good thing I did! Because Kristi had sent me the most awe-inspiring gift of art that I have yet received! Oh my! What if I had missed it for the whole weekend?!! So Kristi, my apologies for not letting you know earlier that it arrived safely, and many, many emotional thanks for it! let me show you all.....

It is original artwork made by her artist friend. And as much as I covet the pieces I have seen made by Kristi, this print is so totally up my alley, and I am thrilled to be the owner of it! Kristi, please let your friend, Cori, know that this piece has a place in a much-appreciated home in California, and that I send her my best appraisal and praise for her wonderful work! Thank you, thank you!

So Bleeni, please forgive me, but of all the things I've taught myself in life, I've never mastered crochet. Are the rocks tucked into them after the fact, or do you crochet right around the stones? And how long does it take you to turn one out?

Sara I felt the same as you about four years ago. A friend taught me how to crochet just the single crochet stitch so I could make these bags. The I found Margaret Oomen's
http://www.purlsoho.com/create/2010/07/18/margaret-oomens-little-urchin-crochet-covered-sea-stones/ and adapted her pattern to my limited skills. I make the cover and then insert the stone and make a gather at the back to secure the cover. I'd say it takes maybe 1/2 and hour.

Bleeni, that is pretty neat! Thanks for sharing, maybe a bunch of us will give it a try. My Grandmother used to crochet a lot, seemed tricky to me -

Thanks Aimee for sharing. My mother and grandmother crocheted beautifully. I am self taught and never learned to read the directions. The internet is awesome with tutorials on you tube, etc. I will try this. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for my mail art! My computer is being difficult and I can't seem to get a picture posted, but I received a really neat picture of some little girls and a really neat bookmark and a couple of other things. Thanks so much! I didn't receive a note so I don't know who my swap partner is, I tried to make it out on package but post office kind of mangled my package. This has been so much fun:)
